Anyone thinking of doing a PRE-newlywed chop?

I really can't stand having my hair long anymore. I never usually grow it too much past my shoulders and it's now like boob length and SOOOO annoying.

I grew it out thinking i would do the 1/2 up with curls, but i can't go more than an hour without getting fed up with having my hair all over my shoulders and chest and having to tie it into a ponytail.

I see so many girls going with a fancier version of their every day hairstyle. I really want to just cut my hair into my normal shoulder length bob and working with that instead.

Any thoughts?

Re: Anyone thinking of doing a PRE-newlywed chop?

I soooo feel your pain. My hair is longer than I normally have it right now and it's usually in a bun by the time I get on the train. I can't stand it. But I don't know what I'd do to it to make it 'pretty' the day of if I cut it.
That picture is gorgeous though, is that Grace Kelly?

I need one badly too, but I don't know if I should. I really wanted to grow it out, but my ends are in horrible shape and I know they say you should keep trimming it to keep it healthy, but if I keep trimming it, it takes off the length, so then what the hell am I growing it out for? Do we just have to deal w/the dead ends until a month or so before? I def. want to trim it then just so it looks healthy the day of.....

hahha yeah...i think it's been about a year since i've last cut my hair. I'm used to cutting it at least every other month! The ends feels so nasty!

This is the normal me. It looks so much more like me than I look now! Sometimes I look in the mirror or at recent pictures and i'm like, who is that?! hahaha

Re: Anyone thinking of doing a PRE-newlywed chop?

i did a pre-newlywed chop a few months ago and i love it shorter. but unfortunately im going to have to pay extra to get extensions the day of to get the look i want.

i think the short cut is gorgeous. espcially gwens style. plus you have that slimming old fashioned dress that looks amazing with short fancy do's.

do it!
you want to be comfortable, and you want to look like YOU.
if you're not happy, cut it.

Re: Anyone thinking of doing a PRE-newlywed chop?

I'm a long hair girl to the core (my hair isnt even that long and I chopped a lot off in August) but I probably won't get another serious haircut until after the wedding, just because I don't know what I'm doing with my hair.

I think you look gorgeous in your avatar, but if you want short hair and are happy with one of the shorter hairstyles then go for it! You want to look like 'you' in your wedding pictures!
