HELP!!!! The saga continues!!!!!! Long Vent!

To those of you who remember that my engagement shots came out horrific the story continues.

My girlfriend tooks pics that came out pretty nice and the studio offered to develop the ones we liked for free. Ok, good, fine. I picked one that we both liked and it needed some cropping so I put white paper around it and told them when I dropped it off that I wanted it to look that way. They said no problem, that is the way they would look.

soooooo, I get them in the mail today and they aren't cropped and they are in an envelope that is too small for the 5x7's that we ordered and were wrinkled and creased. Also, my original picture and negative were not enclosed.

I have had it with their lack of professionalism and shoddy work. They have been nothing but a headache since I booked them. I want to go to another photographer but am unsure of who to go to. I don't care about losing the contract money b/c at this point I am so aggravated that I don't care.

Could you all please let me know who you recommend. I need your help ladies!!!!

I booked with Patken (Steve). I think their work is beautiful. You should definitely make an appointment to see them. Others that you can check out are Imagine and Cassarino. They both do beautiful work also.

You can do a search for these companies to see what their pics look like.

I was going to contact Imagine, Patken and Cassarino, maybe Spelman. I'm off next week so guess what I'll be doing!

I think that is so smart that you will chuck the deposit and start over. You want to interview like crazy... here is who I would look at: pricy-non-pricy.

I'm using Steve from Patken too!! Haven't had my E-session yet but from what I've heard he's AOK!!!!

I'm off to call some photographers - wish me luck! I'll let you know who I end up with.

For those of you who are wondering who the studio giving me the aggravation is it is ADA Photo Studio. I will not be recommending them to anyone.

Patken definately!! Whatever you do get a new photographer! You want to have beautiful pictures!

We used Paul Marino - his pictures are beautiful and his packages are pretty flexible.

I am so sorry you have to start over with all this. It's sort of a blessing in disguise now instead of finding out after he messed up your wedding pictures.

I'm in the process of picking a photog and whenever I hear these horror stories I cringe. I would definetly get rid of them, you can't risk them screwing up your big day!!LOL

Definitely check out Spelman, her is so sweet and her work is beautiful! I would also recommend you check out Paul Marino-he does nice work and is a nice guy too! (check his website...FH programmed it!)

My friend who got married in October ( I was a BM) used ADA and HATES her pictures! They only requested 2 specific shots and neither were taken!! Also out of the 350 proofs they got there are only 4 with the Bridal party...I couldn't believe!! 4 pics??? She is so disappointed.

I would like to second Christine's recommendation of Paul Marino if you are looking for an affordable but very talented photographer. When we met with him, he was so nice and highly professional. I am sure you would be treated very well there.

AHHH!! You guys are scaring me, I booked with ADA Studios and were satisfied with the engagement photos, they came out really nice, I don't even remember the photographers name for those, but Anthony (not the owner) is going to be the photographer that is doing the wedding.
Oh Boy, I hope everything goes well.

We are using ADA in Wading River. If you want to travel that far, I have their number
