my husband and i took the cake home from my moms freezer, and its been sitting in our fridge since november 25- time to toss?

it always sounds a little gross to me to eat a year old wedding cake!

We did it. We kept if frozen. 2 days before our anniversary we took it out of the freezer to defrost and it actually tasted just fine. I only had a couple of slices, but DH finished the whole cake top.

we didn't, i couldn't bring myself to do it. instead we bought a mini carvel cake, had them write happy 1st anniversary and we had that...yum

I didn't do the cake freezing thing. I might have if the cake had a different filling, (cannoli makes the cake wet when deforsted, which I can't stand.) We didn't even do a cake for an anniversary.

We ate it on our actual anniversary & it was quite yummy. I was nervous at first, but I knew I had to do it bc of tradition. The cake was a little dry but otherwise it was very delish!

same here, I thought it was fine. We only ate a tiny piece. DH swears if he died it would be all my fault for making him eat the cake

Love this idea! I certaintly would dive in with two forks in hand. Gotta love those cookie crumbs.

DH and I ate ours once we came back from the honeymoon. I put it out as dessert for my BIL and SIL who had dinner with us before going back to Italy.
