I'm posting this on behalf of my friend Jason, who lives in NC. But if you're in the NY area (or anywhere on the east coast) and want to rescue an adorable sweet dog, he'll drive it to you. Personally speaking, I've been known to get teary over animal stories on the news, whereas people's troubles don't usually get to me. Anyway, I think right now it's only the pitbull that's available (and she's not some vicious killing machine, she's really sweet by all accounts). TWO DOGS NEED HOME!!
My sister recently came upon two abandoned dogs. Both had collars but no tags and despite our best efforts to find their owners, weeks later our search remains fruitless. The dogs, Tov, a male golden retriever/collie, and Nova, a female pitbull (don't let an unfortunate and inaccurate reputation fool you) are in desperate need of a place to call home. They are currently living in a vacant apartment under the care of volunteers including my sister, Erica. Unfortunately, these apartments will soon be torn down and Tov and Nova will again find themselves among the streets or worse. Please, if you or someone you know would like a friend who will love you unconditionally, help save a life.

Even if you don't know a home for them, pass this information along. They need homes soon!!! Thank you!

Both are vetted and house-trained. Gentle and sweet, they are looking for a person with as much love as they have. They would prefer not to be split up, but would be willing to part ways to find a good home.
