Stolen from Z100 Question of the Day, any hear this?
So z100 this morning was asking the question, If your groom showed up to the church and was hammered would you still go through with the wedding? One woman's husband came to the church bombed and when the father presented to the bride to the groom he got down on one knee and proceeded to propose again!
So what would you do????
Meeeeeeee
Aside from the fact that I would be shooting daggers from my eyes
I don't think I would be able to go through with it! have a cocktail or 2 before not so bad..i plan on having a mimosa
but being bombed!!! NEVER...

Re: Stolen from Z100 Question of the Day, any hear this?
I heard this!! I texted FH to put it on and we kept texting back and forth about it.I would be upset if FH showed up drunk. In my opinion, the ceremony is the most important part and is not that long, so I would like for him to be in the right frame of mind for that. We are also doing pics BEFORE and I don't want either of us looking sloppy.
After the ceremony, though, I don't care. As long as he isn't so intoxicated that he is sick.

I would definitely still marry him. First, I would say 'yes'. To the proposal, then I'd tell him to get off his knees and face the altar.Hehe. That would be funny. Gotta be prepared to handle these things with grace. Never gonna be able to control everything, especially not my FH.

I agree with this!
I'd be so mad but I'd just laugh it off in front of the many guests and just proceed with everything as though nothing was wrong.
Later on though I'd give him a migraine headache to match his drunkenness!

I would be so embarrased...I would kill him! I know a lot of officiants will tell you at rehersal that if they even think you are under the influence they will NOT marry you. OMG what a disaster that would be

LOL...I would still marry him. I would be disappointed in my groomsmen however that they let him get this way before the wedding. I say this knowing FH isnt really into drinking and that this would most likely not happen

Re: Stolen from Z100 Question of the Day, any hear this?
I don't know what I would do. I would definitely be really hurt because it would feel like he's not taking the day seriously and that would scare me. He'd for sure be making up for it for the rest of his life.

Re: Stolen from Z100 Question of the Day, any hear this?
They must have gotten this story from Dr. Phil! When I was home sick a couple of weeks ago I put it on and they were doing a story on this woman who said her husband ruined their wedding by showing up drunk! THey showed the video of him getting down on his knee at the altar. I would be mortified! But probably would still go through with it. It is 2 years later and the woman still gets really upset about it, esp since he looks like a drunken slob in all of their pictures and he PASSED OUT after the ceremony and missed the entire reception! UGH!!
