Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We want to have a day after brunch

We are thinking about putting an extra rsvp card in the invites for the brunch so we can know for sure how many people to expect.

We are having it at our house, which will be finished by june.

Anyone else having a brunch?

Does anyone think it will be to much going on, even with servers, and chair and table rentals, food brought in etc.

I was thinking of having it at 12:30-4

That way the hotel checkout is 12, gives them time to sleep in and then leave the hotel and come to the house.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

Thats a great idea! We only have a co-op so we are having brunch with the guests at the hotel. Its free, provided by the hotel anyway. We blocked rooms at 2 hotels but we are staying at the nicer one. So we will probably have brunch at the one we are staying at then drive over the other hotel and sit with those guests for a while.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We are just having a pay-for-your-own brunch the day after our wedding since the restaurant at the hotel will only accommodate tables of up to 10.
IMO I think it may be too much mentally for you to plan it at your own house the morning after. Are you getting ready for your wedding at your house the day of the wedding? I know if it were me that I would be overwhelmed planning a brunch at my newly renovated house for the morning after.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We're doing breakfast at the hotel the next morning. But it will be in the restaurant and they have a breakfast bar. The maitre'd will just count how many come in from our wedding and give us the total amount at the end. I'll put in their OOT bags, Please join us for breakfast downstairs anytime from 9-11.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

we are having a breakfast offered at the hotel for the guest and we are extended it to an extra hour from when they normally close it down. We aren't doing a formal sit down time but people can wake up and go and eat for free. We will have a main time we all try to assemble but realize sometimes people want to sleep in.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

Our hotel offers a free continental breakfast the morning after. I think we'll do that- unless we find a couple extra hundred $$ to rent out a room and have a private one for the OOT guests...

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We are having a next day BBQ since its July 4th at a family members house. I am too thinking of putting a little note in with the invite to the certain ppl invited (Fam & OOT). Just dont know what to write.

Maybe you can setup a few days before? Or maybe have it at 1pm (How far is hotel from your place?)

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

You don't have an option for 'Not sure yet' which is what I would answer...my wedding is on Sunday evening, so I know a lot of people will be working the next day, and I don't yet if OOT guests will be leaving on Monday...it might not be worth it in the end

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We are doing one at the hotel where we and the OOT guests are staying.

FH parents are hosting it. It will be a buffet in a private room. I am putting a card in the OOT Bags inviting them to join us at their leisure during a certain time frame (not sure what that is yet).

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We are doing it for OOT guests who are staying at the hotel (which is most of our wedding since its in PA) I think it's a nice touch for the guests that traveled.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

We are having one at the restaurant in the hotel (which is also where we are getting married). It's all on the same grounds. We didn't include an invite in the invitation. We are attaching one to the OOT bags/boxes that each guest staying over is receiving. We sent out hotel info w/ the save the date card- so most of our families already reserved a room.

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

the hotel is offering this but not sure if we'll be able to do it. We have a communion to go to along with most of his family. His mom wanted to do a nice brunch but guess now we'll have to see if we can even do it

Re: Day After Brunch, Who is doing one with poll!!!

our families are hosting thanksgiving for oot ppl at fmil's house the next day...so its not really a brunch but like a lunch/dinner thing.

breakfast is included at the hotel...ppl can just go from the hotel to fmil house. we're going to include rsvp cards in some invites for thanksgiving so we know how much food we're going to need etc. that way ppl know they don't have to worry about thanksgiving and can decide if they would like to join us or go home/elsewhere.

We are having a Brunch at the OOT hotel which is the same as our reception venue.. the East Wind.
It is pay your own way, (as of right now). We are trying to see how money works out.

Yes me and FH are getting ready at our house the day of the wedding, it seems like it could be overwhelming
I am getting anxious thinking about it, plus i dont know how many people to expect, so i have no idea how many chairs and tables to get or food to order

I think i am going to put a separate rsvp card in the wedding invites, hopefully people will remember to send it back

That sounds like a great idea

Our hotel is 11 miles from the house

checkout is 12, unless people see if they can extend their checkout
