Slip/hoop skirt color question...

My dress is ivory and in looking for a slip/hoop skirt to purchase, most of them come in white.. I even asked this one seller on ebay and he said that and I quote 'It doesn't matter if they
are in white or ivory color because you won't
be able to see it thru the dress.'

is this true? I am so d a m n confused...

and every site says that their fullest slip IS the fullest.. what the h e l l!

My dress is Diamond white since 'silk is NEVER pure white' as the sales lady put it, but my petticoat is very white and it looks just fine. When you are standing it doesn't shoe through the skirt, and if you have to lift to go up the stairs or something it doesn't look terrible, it really doesn't!

I don't think you should worry about the color being 'totally wrong'!

As far as the quality, my seamstress said that David's bridal slips are the best quality (I know, can you believe it?) and they all are under $100. Good Luck!

I bough an ivory a-line slip online. Don't recall where I got it from but all their slips came in white or ivory.

IMO..

I wouldn't wear an ivory bra under a white top. U know what I mean..

So I would DEF try to get the same color

I know what you're saying but it's been a pain for me to find it.. I'm looking for the FULLEST slip/skirt out there.. my nanna is adding layers of ivory tulle into it as well. dunno..

I ordered a white hoop skirt for under my 'silk white' dress. You really cant tell, so I wouldnt worry about it. White should be fine. Marcella, do you have a pic of your dress? I would love to see it!

I have one but it looks soo bad the way they show it that I don't want to post it.. (besides the fact that I have this thing about not wanting anyone to see a pic of it ;) )
