Reigstry question! For brides who have their POTS and PANS
Should I get stainless or nonstick????I have only ever used nonstick. I have heard stainless is great to cook on. Is it better than nonstick? Why? Are they a b!tch to clean? I loooove how nonstick is, well, nonstick
I haven't gone to the stores to register yet, but I am doing it online. Will go to some next week. But so far, there has been a problem with every non-stick set I chose - outside is hard to clean and will look like crap, doesn't have a big skillet in it, doesn't have a big enough stock pot, etc. I also am not going to register for anything over $300 because I just don't feel right asking my family to spend that much on pots and I just can;t see the need for super expensive pots anyway.
Please recommend your macy's or BBB pot set and tell me why you chose them! Thanks!

oops I didn't realize they offered stainless, we have nonstick. We got them from kohls but I'll post a picture of them so you can see the set. I can't compare them to the stainless steel because these are the only ones I've cooked with but I do cook A LOT and never had a problem with them. I'm a little airheaded sometimes and forget to spray the pan and things like that and my food still never sticks to the pan. I recommend them 100%

Re: Reigstry question! For brides who have their POTS and PANS
i would go withard anodizedmost brands that make them have a lifetime urentee
i have JCP brand Cooks and it has lifetime warranty that the nostick coating stays and that the will never break or rust
and for13 pc it is only about $179

Re: Reigstry question! For brides who have their POTS and PANS
When we moved in together we bought a very nice stainless steel set of pots and pans. I am just as torn as you are for our registry because I love my pots that are stainless steel. But for a frying pan I like the non-stick better. We went out an bought non-stick fry pans cause my stainless steel fry pans are all icky and very hard to clean. I think I would do the same thing again register for the stainless steal but try to get a matching non-stick pan.....I dunno if i helped you any....

Re: Reigstry question! For brides who have their POTS and PANS
I have stainless but prefer them with a gas stove b/c you cant control the heat as well w/ electric (which we have now
) and if you cook w/ too high heat on stainless it can stick. You totally get used to it and i dont burn anything in my stainless pans anymore
I added a few non stick pans that i received and used, but they sem to leave a 'crust' on things like pancakes and eggs unless i use the nonstick spray with them..so i still like my stainless better.
Stainless grill pan though..love it
there is my 2 cents

I have a 'Tools of the Trade' Professional set from Macys. I don't think they make it anymore but I love it and my other 'Tool of the Trade' stuff. From what I have seen, when Macys has a sale on their pots and pans, they usually have some kind of bonus items included. Mine came with a super large stock pot.My set is stainless steel.

Re: Reigstry question! For brides who have their POTS and PANS
thanks all. I have a few nonstick pieces now that I do not plan on getting rid of - so maybe stainless is a good idea for me since I do have some pieces already. THANKS!Welcome New Vendors
