Re: stamps from the post office

My post office said they only have the yucky geometric ones. They are unable to get the old ones with the heart and the flowers or anything else that looks nice. I was bummed out. I couldn't even get flowers.

My Uncle works for the post office and sorry ladies but we are stuck with the love ones
I am thinking i may use the american flag ones instead. I am getting married on the 4th of July and they are a lot nicer!

Re: stamps from the post office

I was talking on the phone about this with my sister tonight! She said, until you have your own wedding you never notice stamps. But now that I have started getting ready to send the invites out, I look all the time. I hate the love stamps and I am not using them!

Re: stamps from the post office

I am a stamp addicted ... I don't really collect them (FH does) but I love to use nice stamps on my mail. Here there is an option for the ugly geometric love ones. You can get them online at:

usps.com

but you got to add the 3 cents ugly start stamp or get the birds of 1 and 2 cents.

Re: stamps from the post office

Yes, I can hardly believe that such a small detail has me bothered but, when my FH said something I knew it was just me. I can't stand those new stamps I'm thinking about running the invits through my postal machine at the office--even that looks better. Looks like we are stuck Lisa.

Re: stamps from the post office

I just bought my stamps yesterday. And alas, I am stuck with the ugly Love ones. I figure I've obsessed over every other little detail, I have to give in on something!

Re: stamps from the post office

My invites are heavy so I might have the option of this:

or the love one:

I have to see how much they will cost. If it doesn't need to be $.60 I might go w/ the American flag & whatever lil' extra I need.
