Pink and CB BM dresses

I'm in a little bit of a panic I must admit

8/9/08 is the date for the big day and I still feel like I have so many loose ends to tie up.

I've been reading the posts on this website for months now andn have learned so much from you all.

I have no clue what to do about BM dresses! A lot of places are telling me that I have to rush order my dresses because its 'short notice'.

My colors are chocolate brown and blush pink, but I also want to go with a 40's theme wedding doing things like naming the reception tables after old hollywood actors like Audrey Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Fred Astaire, Betty Davis, etc.

Can someone help me figure out what the heck to do?! lol.

Another important piece here is that I would love for my BM's to be able to wear their dresses again...

Re: Pink and CB BM dresses

Does anyone know if there is a website online similar to www.therosedress.com that gives me options on styles, is VERY AFFORDABLE and has a good reputation?

The prices on this website are very appealing, and some of these dresses are just gorgeous, but I am terrified to order from a company that I know nothing about . What if the dresses come damaged.

I've already had a bad experience with lovemyshoes.com. I received shoes with rhinestones missing!!!!! So I am a bit paranoid now...

HELP!

Re: Pink and CB BM dresses

You might think I'm crazy...BUT go to jcpenney.com
THEN Women> Dresses. Then Look in 'Special Occasion'; 'Evening Separates' & ALSO 'Jacket Dresses'.
They had a couple of pieces in your colors & 40's-like. They are also very reasonable $$ & YES, they can wear them again.
Good Luck!

Re: Pink and CB BM dresses

MAybe try a polka dot theme-subtle but its very cute and makes me think 1940's because women worre black and white polka dots. It looks VERY Ladylike and yet fun and modern at the same time.

Re: Pink and CB BM dresses

With such short notice and since you want your BMs to be able to wear the dresses again, I would check out some department stores.

Macy's has this dress which comes in pink:

Nordstroms:

Check out Nordstroms- they have ALOT of cute chocolate brown dresses and some of are very reasonably priced! You can also try looking at Estelle's.
