Re: sealing envelopes?!

Believe it or not, I licked about half of them lol FH yelled at me and told me that I would get sick, so i went and bought a glue stick to seal them. I was afraid that the sponge would put too much water on the invitations and cause water damage.

Do not lick them ladies. Have your ever saw the Seinfeld episode? Just don't do it.

Re: sealing envelopes?!

no sponges...use a elmer's glue stick

the moisture from the sponge can ruin the invitation and leave the envelope looking crinkled

this is what I did and it worked out perfect...jmo

Just make sure you don't buy the store brand...The woman at the invitations place said sometimes the generic brands don't hold as well and the envelopes will reopen...

Elmers works best! We needed 1 stick for 137 invitations...

Re: sealing envelopes?!

the best way is regular office supply glue stick ... the kind they sell in staples / office max.

with water sponges, you end up with either too much water or too little water.

Re: sealing envelopes?!

we paid a little extra for self-stick envelopes... you just peel off a strip and it is stickey, so you just seal it down that way. well worth it! it wasnt that much extra
