Recommend a movie
In theaters or on dvdI liked August Rush. I showed it to my students recently and they enjoyed it. Only thing, Robin Williams was not believable as a chip-on-my-shoulder money making fellow
. We saw Ironman today. I recommend waiting until it comes to dvd. We felt the fighting scenes were lacking oomph.

Re: Recommend a movie
DH & I watched The Lookout last night and it was pretty good, but did drag a little in the middle of the movie. We also saw The Invisible and we really liked it.

Re: Recommend a movie
Recently we watched...No Country for Old Men (really different, good, confused by ending)
Cloverfield (eh, kinda cheesy thriller, something takes over the city, fine if ya need something to watch)
Michael Clayton (pretty good)
Assassination of Jesse James (very good, Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck)
American Gangster (good, cheesy ending even though its a true story)
Sweeney Todd (loved it)

Great flick! Always makes me cry...this movie was the 1st time I understood why Brad Pitt made some folks
. I thought it interesting how they decided peanut butter was death's favorite food. I would have chosen something more elaborate

Re: Recommend a movie
Fool's Gold - it was actually better than I thought it would be - very cuteJuno - it was not as good as I felt everyone else made it out to be but I thought it was ok
Good Luck Chuck - I actually liked it and thought it was mindless fun
Over Her Dead Body - I thought it was 'eh' because Eva plays basically the same character as Gabi on Desperate Housewives, but it was ok
Definitely Maybe - cute movie and it was fun trying to figure out 'the one'

Re: Recommend a movie
Recently we watched...No Country for Old Men (Hated this. I can see why it was loved by the critics but I thought it STUNK)
Michael Clayton (Good drama)
Older movies that we like:
Lucky Number Slevin (AWESOME movie. You never see the ending coming)
(Matchstick Men) ANother WHOA ending and great movie)
Sliding Doors (EXECLLENTmovie and I am not a Pltrow fan but its really good; about life and fate and how everythign eventually comes full circle and is exactly what it was supposed to be no matter how many detours)
If Only (I LOVE this and usually not a JHewitt fan but its good. A real tearjerker though.)
Love ACcually (One of Dh's fave.)

last weekend we rented 'The Namesake', which has Kal Penn from Harold & Kumar. Weird to see him in a serious role but the movie was excellent.
