Thanks! Do you think another 20 is a little too much to lose? My fiance thinks I'm crazy.

I think it depends on what you are most comfortable at, if you dont think 130 is good for you then try to go lower, i personally wouldn't go for 20 that may be too much i would go for 10-thats just my opinion

I've lost 60 pounds in the last year or so (this wasnt for the wedding) but I still want to lost another 20 probably. But I'm not sure if losing another 20 is really necessary. I'm 5' 4'' and weigh 130. What do you guys think is the ideal weight for me? BTW, im a nutrition major so if you guys have any questions about food/nutrition, I can probably help :)

Congrats on the weight loss! I'm 5'5" and as of now my ideal weight is 135. I'm also very muscular, so I'm not sure if I would look ok under that.

I think its what you feel comfortable at. Especially, if you are muscular or you happent to have a small frame. 130 sounds likea great weight for 5'4". I think another 20 lbs would way to much.

College food is the absolute worst!! And beer. And late night diner runs. I gained about 50 lbs I graduated high school . Luckily, between WW & the gym I've lost 37 of those lbs.
The pic on the left is of me June 2007 and the one on the right is just last week. When I feel like I'm losing motivation I pull out the before and after and it really helps me feel better.

You look amazing keep up the good work.

I joined WW in sept. 2006 I lost about 10lbs & in April of 2007 started a new job & since then I have not gotten back on track. I said yes to be in two diferent weddings as a bridesmaid before I got engaged thinking it was never going to happen . Now I need to get back on track & rej
Thanks for starting this. I want to join WW this week.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

thank you for starting this thread. this might just be the motivation that I need.

At least it's getting warmer out now so that help's too (actually it really means my Eliptical can collect more dust! ;) )

Do you find going in to WW helps out more or NOT going in to the meetings?

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

I find its better to go to the meetings. First of all, I know I'm getting weighed that particular day so I follow the plan. I also find it helps to motivate me, especially when I hear about all the weight other people lost.

Also, you get so many good food ideas and recipes from the other people there. For example, before someone mentioned this in a meeting I had no idea there was such thing as whole wheat potato bread.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

ok so this thread just had me on weight watchers site looking at things and now i wanna join!
my problem is that i stay on track for a few weeks and then i get off for a few weeks and so on.
i guess the meetings will help me with that? plus im afraid since my wedding is so far off i dont know if i can maintain the eating habits that long

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

The meetings definitely help me with staying on track and like everyone else has said the whole getting weighed in every week keeps me motivated to keep consistent

For me I wanted to start WW early, because i didn't want to do a quick fix weight loss for the wedding, i wanted to do an actual lifestyle change and keep the weight off. And so far with losing the weight i feel like WW will be the way to keep the weight off and maintain it

Hi Ladies,
How is everyone today? Hope all is good. You are all inspiring me. I wanted to join yesterday after work, but I had some future mother in law drama so today after work I will try to get to WW again lol. Hopefully she isn't upset anymore lol.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

It's the same with me Teri. WW is not just a diet, its a lifestyle.

I've changed some of my eating habits without even realizing it! First of all, even when I go out and dont bother counting my points, I just naturally eat less without even thinking about it. I also make small choices that are healither ones.

Because WW allows you to basically eat 'whatever you want' its not your typical diet.

I have to admit...Im 6lbs away from goal and already worried about maintaining! The last time I got down to a nice low weight (in HS!!) I ended up gaining like 50 lbs in college.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

The WW doesn't give the list of foods and points b/c they want people to join and pay...

Here's the info about the two plans

Or were you wondering how many points you get each week?

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread

i was wondering about both...
figured maybe 20 points a day allotment...is that about right? And foods that are 100 calories are 1 point, right?
