Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

for a 25th Anniversary Party for my parents. Looking for somewhere very reasonable, i.e. like $40-50pp with open bar included in Nassau County, preferably Western Nassau County South Shore but not necessary. Please let me know if you have had specific experiences with these places and would or would not personally recommend them. Thanks! It's been a few years since we planned our event so I feel like I'm out of touch.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

I've heard great things about Stewart Manor CC and I think they are very reasonably priced. I also went to a wedding at the Riviera in Massapequa and it was gorgeous! Not sure about their price range though, but you should definitely check them out!

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Try George Martin Grille in Rockville centre (they have other restaurants in other locations) or Maine Maid Inn.
I was also going to suggest La Piazza or Umbertos, and perhaps check out the New Hyde Park Inn... it was recently redone.

Maybe the Coral House? I think they work in that price range and are located on the south shore!

I didn't realize they were this cheap. I was under the impression they were a lot more expensive than that. I'll have to give them a call. Thanks so much~!

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

I'm not sure of the exact price but it wasn't over $50 I know that. I know I priced our wedding there and it was a Saturday night in April for $90 pp including seafood boat, dessert trays, chair covers, and some other things and that was without negotiating. I thought if you were looking for a good bang for the buck, it was a great deal. So if it was $90 for a full sit-down dinner and full cocktail hour, it must be half for smaller event with buffet and all in one room makes it even cheaper.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Check out Stewart Manor... I paid under $60 pp for my wedding and we added an extra hour. i am sure it would be less than $50 for a non-wedding. they do lots of events like brunches, etc.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

I just got back from dinner at George Martin's in Douglaston. Beautiful restaurant and they say they can accomodate from 60-150 people for parties.

Pompei in West Hempstead.

I second Pompei...I don't know what their prices are these days, but my brother had his engagement party there almost 6 years ago...lots of good food, and the space was nice, too.
