Any Brides getting Ivory dresses???

I tried on dresses for the first time today and I seemed to prefer the ivory. I am just concerned that it may look okay now, but I will have more color by the time the wedding occurs. Will it look weird. Help!!

my dress is ivory : ). Pure white just makes me look too washed out and I don't tan much so that shouldn't be a problem.

A friend of mine wore an ivory dress, and it looked beautiful. If that is what you prefer, go for it, it will look great

Definitely ivory. I feel that it is more flattering to most skin tones.

Mine is technically 'ivory' but up against the white version of the dress-they look identical! it is a candlelight white-as i have share before! It looked great on and I Think the grooms look amazing in ivory vests and euro ties! if you like it-GO FOR IT!

I'm going to pick my ceremony dress this weekend..I have been leaning toward Ivory. I really like the color on me..I looked washed out also in white.

oh, that's so good to hear. When I had it on, it looked great, but when I left the store I started to second guess myself. The white was just so bright that I felt uncomfortable.

I wore ivory - it was better w/my skin tone - and I just liked it better, too. Here's one thing - 'cause I didn't think of it at the time I ordered my dress. If you are wearing ivory - then the guys' tuxedo shirts must be ivory, too. (Otherwise their shirts would be 'too white' against your dress. ) It wasn't really a problem - but some of the guys in our party were planning on wearing their own tuxes. They didn't have ivory shirts - so we had to rent those. Also - it made a difference as to which vests we chose for the tuxes. Ivory doesn't look as good with some of the colors/patterns as do the white shirts.
Don't get me wrong - go with the ivory!! Just remember - the tuxes have to match!!
