Anyone know anything about Wheatley Heights?

We are looking at a house there on Sat. I don't know anything about that neighborhood? Thoughts?

Edited to say they said it was near Dix Hills/Half Hollow school area but I'm not sure.

I don't know much...but I don't think its a great neighborhood...

It depends exactly where it is. If its right off Burr's Lane its not bad, but any further in can be a not so great area.

I think it's pretty split - I never thought it was that great of an area, but then I knew someone who moved there and she said there was a nicer section, that borders Dix Hills? Is that possible? Sorry, not too familiar with Suffolk.

Half of it is in HHH school district, and the other is in Wyandanch. A friend of mine lived there for a bit after college. It's not a terrible neighborhood, but it's not great either.

Yes, some of Wheatley heights is nice but it does border wyndanch which is like almost 1 block away from the 'nicer' part of Wheatley Heights.

Drive around the neighborhood a bit after you check out the house..
