starting website
Has anyone ever tried to start a website (register, web host, design web site etc)? Wow is this complicated haha. Any help would be welcome...please...

You can use a free service such as geocities, which is through Yahoo, or if you wanted like a soontobemrsk.com, go through network solutions and register the domain name and they will set it up for you for like $60 a year. They offer templates or you can design your own pages using frontpage or dreamweaver.I teach web design so if you need help,let me know.

i did mine through godaddy.com they are really helpful. i used dreamweaver and other programs to do the design and layout

I did mine thru weddingannouncer.comFree, peice of cake and you can add and delete pages and label them whatever you want

I used wedshare.comThey have templates set up so all you need to do is upload your own photos and text. The have TONS of different designs.

Thanks for the responses. Sorry, i wasnt very clear...i meant a non wedding website. i'm having issues in the 'publishing website' step.

I have my business website hosted with Yahoo...you can register & host with them and it's about $12 a month...they also have free design software...not sure how good it is, since i've never used it...i always recommend them.
