Wedding Music??

So I was on another post and it reminded me of my dilemna with my wedding music.

Originally I was going to have my BM's walk down to Air on G and I walk down to Pachebel's Canon in D (ceremony)

I have since re-thought that idea and I really think it is more my style to walk down to something like 'Somewher over the Rainbow' by Israel K (IZ). It's like thr tropical/hawaiian version of that song. We are planning our wedding outside at CLM (hopefully) so I think its fitting. What would I have my girls walk down to though???
Classical doesn't really go with this??
Any ideas for a song???

TiA!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wedding Music??

Not sure if you like this idea, but we had a steel drum band for our CH and they said they could also do our ceremony. They could have played here comes the bride, and they have lots of choices for other songs for the BP to walk down to. That might be something to consider if you're going for that beachy laid back feel! (we ended up using a string quartet for our ceremony, but used the steel drum band for the CH) We used Jahpan if you are interested!

Re: Wedding Music??

If not, maybe your BP can walk down to 'One Love'

Re: Wedding Music??

Well the DJ I am looking at would probably be doing it since I cant afford live music. I am thinking of an instrumental piece for the BM's something on the soft, slow side. Haven't found it yet though.

I love that version! Actually, FH wants us to use the Jason Castro version (American Idol...don't ask me why he wants this guy...) for the BMs to walk down to. Don't know if I agree with him yet, but how about having your girls walk down to the Enya song Caribbean Blue. It's a beautiful and ethereal song - thought I'd mention it! GL
