**'09ers Best of Beauty Thread**
I've been wanting to do this since I saw it on another board.I am a beauty product junkie... so let's share our favorite products. I am always looking to try new things- especially when they are recommended by other people!
I'll start...
SOME of my favorites:
1. Finesse Moisturizing Shampoo- I have tried 1000 shampoos and I also go back to this one. Nothing makes my hair more shiny and soft.
2. Sunsilk ThermaShine Spray Conditioner- use this with your curling iron/flat iron and you will not be sorry! It softens your hair instead of damaging it with the heat!
3. L'Oreal Voluminous mascara- I've tried 100's- nothing is better. My eyelashes are blonde- so I need something that will be dramatic while looking natural- this is it!
All are available at www.drugstore.com

1. Benefit Boi-ing (concealer)2. Nars Blush - in the 'big o' color - the real color got blocked!
3. Garnier Shampoo's and Conditioners - FH loves the way they smell
4. Dove moisturizer
hmmm.
That's all I can think of right now!
Fabulous post to start!!

Salicylic Acid.
I found this.....
Salicylic acid containing cleansers
Salicylic acid works by getting into sebum; getting to where it's needed to help unblock pores. Cleansing products that contain salicylic acid include L'Oreal Pure Zone, Garnier Pure and Neutrogena.
Salicylic acid helps dissolve, remove and prevent formation of the keratin plug which helps speed up the clearing of pimples as well as improving long term control.
For people with mild acne, a cleanser with salicylic acid might be all you need for your everyday control of acne. Remember to speak with a pharmacist or doctor before combining this with any other medicated products (eg, prescription acne products or those containing benzoyl peroxide).

Re: **'09ers Best of Beauty Thread**
excellent idea for a thread!I have really sensitive skin that doesn't exfolitate too well on its own, apparently. I used to use prescription stuff on my face, but I don't anymore and my skin is actually better.
Skin:
1) I LOVE St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub -- even FH uses it now!
2) Clinique Moisture Surge
3) I love bare minerals makeup too, but for some reason it started to irritiate my skin. I switched to Clinique about a year ago, and if I just need extra coverage for a special even I then use bare minerals.
4) Fresh lipliner in gypsy. The best lipliner color ever!
5) Chanel's Lilac Sky lipstick. Like this fabulous sparkly non-color. Layers really well!
Hair:
1) Frizz ease leave in conditioner and their serum!
2) I am not picky about shampoo and conditioner. My hair is nuts, nothing really matters so I have stopped trying

Frizz Ease has a leave in? Is it just called leave in conditioner? Does it protect again heat styling?

Acutally, I used to have bad acne, so I know a little but about this. salicylic acid is enough in a cleasner or for something less harsh but equally affective - try willowbard (which is natures salicylic acid). Mario Badescu, Bosica and Ole Henkrisen prodcuts are all organic and contain this. Then try a treatment, I recommend Bosica's acne treatment you put it on daily and it keeps acne away and then your mosituerizer.
For spot treatments, you need somtehing with benzoyl peroxide, they sell an acutal benzoyl peroxide tube at drugstores, usually next to the neutrogen and clean and clear producst. Ole hendriksen also sells a cool roll on pen type product that contains both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid and is truly amazing! If you have a big pimple in the morning and put this product on like three times during the day, its smaller at night. Its clear and dries almost instantly.
All prodcuts can be found at Sephora

Re: **'09ers Best of Beauty Thread**
Neutrogena - Oil Free Moisturizers for Combination Skin - I have combination skin, and most moisturizers are too heavy, but I can't go without one. This one is really light and the perfect balance for me.Neutrogena - Oil Free Acne Wash. I am prone to break outs, but a lot of cleansers dry out my skin a lot. I've tried a lot of stuff, and a lot of expensive stuff. But this basic Neutrogena face wash leaves my skin really fresh and clean.
Bumble and Bumble - I used their Curly haired shampoo and conditioner. I have coarse thick curly hair that dries out easily, but gets oily after a day or two. It's such a mess that I have literally tried almost every product ever and this stuff works really great for me. It's too bad it's $$$$.
Aussie - Cleanse and Mend - I use this once a week to cleanse out any excess gunk in my hair from products and such. It really helps to balance it out.
