I have a runaway priest!

I can't believe it but we have no priest. Last Wednesday I called to check in with my priest and he said he wanted it to come in to finish off some last minute paperwork and then he said 'Not to complicate things but I'm being transferred'. He is basically getting promoted to St. Patrick's Cathedral and he will be 2nd in command. The church is taking him off all the weddings he was supposed to do. I have been going to my church and I help there for 8 years in the city. What if I didn't last week I wouldn't even know....
He said he was going to call another priest that just retired from our parish and I know very well. He told me he would call me back no word yet. I figured he would call by friday b/c he said this week and next he is on vaca before his new job. I called a family priest and another priest at a parish near Kings Point who is so great but he has 2 weddings Oct. 4th. This is the last thing I thought I would have to worry about b/c I set it up with him back in Feb the day after I got engaged. ughhhhhh sorry for the long vent.

Don't stress yet. It will work out I promise. Maybe the back up priest went out partying LOL so he didn't get the call/message yet.
