Brides getting married or married.... The Inn at New Hyde Park

Did they negotiate with you on the price? If you dont mind sharing, what price did they quote you for a Friday in October?

We are paying $80 a head for a Friday night for this October.

Thanks !

Re: Brides getting married or married.... The Inn at New Hyde Park

I'm not getting married there, but I did check it out when I was looking. I remember them saying how they had Halloween open and could not seem to get rid of it. Your $80 is definitely a great price for that place. They were pretty much booked for Fridays/Saturdays for 2008 when we looked in 2007. So we were getting prices for April and May of 2009 for Fridays and Saturdays, and it was about $180 - $195 per person!!!!

That sounds like a good price.

that place is beautiful.

and 80 for something booked a year in advanced seems very reasonable.

Im sure its low because it is Halloween, and they couldnt book that date. Me and DH have no problems gettting married on Halloween if the price is right:)

Re: Brides getting married or married.... The Inn at New Hyde Park

I'm an Inn bride too! I'm so excited, they've spared no expense in the remodel and still not done!
$80 for a Friday IS a GREAT DEAL!!!
We're paying $150 for Saturday night in Sept. We booked in May '08 - wish we'd done it sooner because they were giving deep discounts while undergoing the transformation.

Anyone know if they're done with additional lighting in the ballroom? Supposed to be LED uplights I think!

Re: Brides getting married or married.... The Inn at New Hyde Park

I heard about it from the band I booked ( and then asked Frank at The Inn if it were true and he said yes!) I didn't actually find out details, but I think we'll have the ability for a color scheme. I was thinking about hiring a lighting designer, but who needs the extra expense...so I am psyched that they'll be some drama with the lighting. I hope so anyway.
