CB Brides - Final Meeting bf wedding tonight

I am meeting with Chateau Briand tonight to pick out my menu, select linens, etc. Does anyone have any advice?

If you're going with FH, make sure you agree on things, such as colors of Linens and Flavors of the cake and bring cake designs.

Also, ask the person you're dealing with which dishes are good/bad, and select carefully...

Crisco, definitely narrow down your choices, I am sure you have the long list in front of you, so select that. Have a cake choice in mind with flavors etc. The BM will help you, it was a quick painless process for us.

Thanks for the advice. We narrowed down our choices over the weekend, so I guess we will be in good shape.

The BM usually is thorough and they will let you know right off the back if the choice you made is not good and why. They are really helpful. Just narrow down your coices as Shamma said.

Crisco are you selecting anything from the Caribbean menu? We did, we had oxtails and jerk chicken

Shamma or Latina did you upgrade your menu for the cocktail hour and/or the main course? I am wondering what the price difference is.

is there an upgraded menu? what is the price difference? did anyone add on venitian hour after signing the contract? how many choices did you guys have for linens?

I did not choose anything from the Caribbean menu because my family will critique everything mercilessly. I will get questions like, Is this authentic Jerk!!!!

About the upgraded menu, CB will send you a price list including upgrades about 1.5 or 2 months before your date. I will look for mine at home Taralissa. We are not upgrading anything.

We did not upgrade either, the food was plentiful wherever you were it was shameful. We did not do a veniese hour/table. So not necessary. My guest were stuffed, I don't think they even ate cake.

Crisco, they have a new Jamaica chef at the time I was there and he did a fantastic job of the oxtails, people even ****ed the bone. I hear the jerk was ok, but people were asking for more oxtails

We saw a video of a wedding done at CB and my mom was in awe of the seafood boat they got for the cocktail hour. I believe this is one of the upgrade choices.

Crisco that's funny. FH's family won't critique what we will have. They will say where is it? My dad is excited we are having a few Caribbean choices at the cocktail hour

We didn't upgrade anything because we had sooo much food.
We did have a little surprise at the cocktail hour that I still can't believe. One of the head chefs at CB is a client of my hubby's. When he found out that we were having our wedding there he gave us wedding gift towards the cocktail hour without us knowing. After the ceremony they tookd us to the cocktail room and there was a full table of lobsters, shrimps, clams and all this other seafood. My guest loved it. We were lucky because we could of never afforded that even if we wanted to add it to the cocktail hour menu.
