Ireland Honeymoon!!! detailed review....

For now here's a mini review for those of you still thinking of where to go.
My DH and I went for 3 weeks. During this time we did go to Amsterdam for a few days. So I'll highlight some of Ireland's beatiful places. Then talk about Holland.
Ireland:
We did the coast of Ireland. It was gorgeous! We landed in Dublin and stayed there a few days before renting a car and heading out.
Some places we saw:
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Trinity College
Book of Kells at the college
Oldest library at the college
Christ Cathedral Church
Guiness Store House
Dublin Museum
Dublin Castle
Newgrange Tomb (oldest tomb in the world, before the pyramids of Egypt and the Temples of Mexico)
Waterford
Waterford Crystal Factory (we bought some crystal frames!)
Castles (will give details in review)
We stayed in a castle, had dinner and breakfast there it was gorgeous.
Kenmare
Killarney
Ring of Kerry drive
Lakes of Killarney
Cliffs of Moher
Burn Stone
A cave name escapes me...lol
Belfast (Northern Ireland)
Giant's Causeway (one of the 7 wonders of the world)
Carrick-A-Rede
Castles (will give info. in detailed review)
Holland:
We stayed in Amsterdam
I loved it. It was warmer and just reminded of NYC. Obviously since the Dutch found NYC...lol
Highlights:
Went to a Dutch Village where they had the windmills. There they made fresh cheese, Dutch shoes, paint and other stuff. It was awesome.
Van Gogh Museum
Anne Frank's House (AMAZING!!)
Tried Belgium chocolate and bought a lot of cheese to bring back. It was the best chocolate I've ever had.
Walked the streest and saw all the beautiful canals.
Took a canal cruise. That was great.
Detailed review to come. It was great. If you have any questions meanwhile or are planning on going to Ireland soon just FM and I'll give more info.
Special thanks to cmjd and there was another bride who also gave me some info. but her name escapes me.
PS congrats to all the brides...I'm trying to catch up since I haven't been on in a while.

Sounds really nice! I did the same Ireland trip as you, except we landed at Shannon Airport and went to the see the Cliffs of Moher first and then made our way to Dublin over the week. We saw all the things you did but in reserve order!

HA!!! That's great!!! We stayed in a hotel in Dublin, but at the other places we stayed in bed and breakfasts. It was so nice and romantic. I'm glad we went. :)
Isn't CLiffs of Moher amazing!!!!

HI!!!! Yes it was great. We did so much that I'm glad I have pics to remind me of all I did. MY DH had a strict Itenerary...lol It was well planned out. I was impressed

That so great! I cant wait to see pics. My mom just got back yesterday - she said the weather wasnt great but it didnt matter.
We actually got decent weather, there were times I just had a long sleeve shirt on and that was enough, northern Ireland is freezing though...lol

Isn't CLiffs of Moher amazing!!!!
The cliffs of moher were breathtaking! I always wanted to stay in a castle so FH booked us at the Dromoland castle. It was magical!!

Oh so happy you had a great time! Ireland ROCKS!!!! I wish dh and i can pick up and move there or England. I can't wait to read your review and see pics. The coast is such a great part to visit.
