Spinoff to the towel re-use poll....
I used to be much more OCD than I am now; now i'm afraid of the superbugs I see my patients with in the hospital. So I take my shoes off before comming inside the house (thats a major no no for me considering what I march around in all day ughhhhhh ), also the clothes come right off and I change immediately. Otherwise normal handwashing (what is normal i ask anyway) and I actually try not to use antibacterial soap at home because I don't want those superbugs!!

OCD isnt just germie stuff.
Im OCD but not about that. Im OCD about things being done in a certain order and a specific way. Also things have to be straight, centered and symmetrical...ITS RIDICULOUS!!!!!
And if I waver from the way something is done its all wrong

i never considered myself ocd, well definitely not. Dh is definitely OCD, and has been told by doctors. His OCD is more about things being organized.
But i do have a thing with sanitizing. For me its alot more important for there to be no dust and things sanitized rather than the fact that there might be some clothes on a chair and maybe not everything is perfectly in order. Dh might organize things in a certain way on a dresser lets say but i care more about the dust underneath it . I like to do a very thorough cleaning at least once a week. Where i even dust off magazines, books, anything i have around even the bottles of gel, body lotions, deodorants and all that. The bathroom needs to get cleaned often, i feel the toilet has to be cleaned often. I even take the time to really clean the air conditioner and clean all the area in between which can get annoying, but these are things that have so much dirt. Or around the window it gets disgusting

I'm not OCD about cleanliness...  DH does more cleaning than me 
however, I'm OCD about other things... sitting in a particular seat, having things organized a certain way in the pantry, color/font/layout.... and SPELLING

I am not a germaphobe but I am pretty OCD about order. I prepare everything for my day the night before, the exact same way every night etc.
My apartment never has anything out of place, like you would never find my shoes in the kitchen or a sweater on a chair - everything is always in its place.

We take our shoes off, keep a clean/neat house, change the sheets once a week, etc, etc. I am not that much of OCD, but DH is alittle more than me.
As for germs...they dont scare me. As I said in the earlier post...I touch hand rails, elevator buttons, etc so often and just cant be worried about walking around with a paper towel in my hand or anti-bacterialing all the time.
Now things like raw meat, etc...that I am a freak about cleaning!

I am so not OCD it's ridiculous. I'm the complete opposite.
I'll drop a piece of food on the floor and eat it.
Like a dirty floor and still eat it.
I always tell myself that the dirt will build up my immune system.
Once I took a pack of gum to the beach and the pieces all got sand on them. I still chewed them. 
When we have children - they're so going to be pig-pens.

Jenn i'm the same way about food dropping on the floor. I eat most anything that drops on the floor. DH has always been horrified by that but I don't care. I've been doing it my whole life, not only am I still here, but I'm rarely sick. And I hate to waste food.  I walk around outside barefoot all the time. Hell I'd go to work barefoot if I wasn't worried about stepping on something that would cut me...the dirt on the sidewalk doesn't bother me though. Again, DH is disgusted but whatever.

I am OCD at parties or throwing them at my house. Like I have to throw everything out that is garbage clean off the tables and put all the empty bottles away. It drives me nuts to party in an area that is not clean. It is very strange.
I get OCD on the phone - I have to clean and talk at the same time like instead of pacing - Than I never can find anything after b/c I was too busy chit - chatting
