ordering food... (long pointless rant)

I dont think DH and I can order take out anymore. LOL. last week we ordered from our favorite pizza place in town for delivery. Well after waiting for an hour DH called and the woman yelled at him that its on the way and to stop calling and hung up on him. Half an hour later I called and asked where our food was and then like 15 minutes later it showed up. I had paid on credit card and they argued with me that I hadn't so I had to call again and it was just really annoying.

Then middle of last week we order from another place and again- it took an hour to get the food! And they messed up the order.

Then last ngiht we ordered from our favorite diner and it took an hour and a half to arrive and then they charged us for the sides that on the menu came with the food, and the menu says 10% discount on deliveries and they refused to give it to me. We basically ordered $28 worth of food we figured, and they qwere trying to charge us $50!!! So we refused the food.

I think we are done ordering delivery forever. DH already now says he will never go back to 3 of our one time favorite places...

sorry just wantwed to vent cus Im hungry and didn't eat last night and didn't have time to get bfast this morning...

this is why i'm all about cooking at home. nothing sends me into a murderous rage more than when i order food (be it delivery or a restaurant) and they mess up the order somehow. its one of my HUGEST pet peeves and i seriously go nuts when it happens.

i'd rather just make it at home and not worry about killing anyone.

This happens alll the time to DH and I, last week we ordered Chinese food and the girl convinced me to come and pick it up (it will be faster according to her)– we live a few blocks so I didn’t mind – well I waited a half hour in the place to pick up our food…I was soo upset.
I don’t know if it’s the area or the people delivering or what – we live in Long Beach so you think that they would be fast and east but nooo..i have when you order and they say a half an hour and it take an hour and a half
