I'm thrilled that his last year before Junior High, sounds like it's going to be wonderful for him. And, he's a safety patrol kiddo, and the kindergarteners are his responsibilty to help get them onto their buses!!! I'm so proud of him!!! Just had to share. Hope you guys don't mind!!

Thanks, hon!! It's so refeshing, to have Shaun happy about school. The other day, he was not happy about returning, and I told him, that's normal, but, returning to school, also signifies the beginning of exciting things this year, like having the nice teacher he really wanted, his birthday, the holidays, and Mom getting married, and their plans to move to their own house!!! It's all good!!! He seemed to perk up a bit!! I hope his school is air conditioned, because today, it was about 97 in Lancaster County!!!! Mary MOB

Re: Let's hear it for Mrs. Pfeiffer, Grandson's 6th Grade Teacher!!!!!
wow she sounds so nice
Calista likes her teacher too. Calista started off 1st grade on the right food behavior wise.... i guess she learned from last year or all of our talks about behavior finally sunk in
there was a boy that was in our building last year that was in 6th grade and on the safety parol
he was so cute LOL he was like Calista's adopted brother for the year. He was always looking out for her. If someone bothered her or the one time he heard her teacher yell at her from the 2nd floor thank god he told me and of coarse the teacher was such a liar I hated that woman... you would think that if a parent tells you about family things like the fact that FH was deploying and Calista may be upset or act out she would tell me and not brush it off till report card time even thogh I asked her MANY MANY times about it.
Any wayyyyy I'm glad He has a awesome teacher I can't wait for open house next week

How nice is that !!!!!!! I have 4 kids ... one in 3rd, 4th, 6th & 7th grade... so it is a lot of work !!!!!!! ( this is 2nd time around for both of us) ... the teachers here in our school district love to give homework ... but that is ok... the kids need it ! I am happy though that there is still a teacher out there that does not believe in homework !!!!!!!!!!
........ this is how I feel sometimes when all 4 have a lot of homework each day !!!!!!!!

Angela, apparently, the rumor around school, among the kids, is that Mrs. Pfeiffer gives no homework!!! Shaun told me that, before he even knew which teacher he would have. I'm curious about it. I can't wait to hear more about this teacher!!! Mary MOB

Thanks, Kristin!! Oh, my, two hours of homework!! I believe he will have a great time this year. Donna told a cute story tonight, of how Shaun said he was wrong about Mr. so-in-so, who he has for another subject. Shaun said he was nice AND funny!!!!! Apparently not all teacher rumors are true!!!
