pots and pans?

Hey Ladies,

I've almost completed my registry...But, since I don't cook, the one thing I do not know is a good brand of pots and pans. Any suggestions?

Re: pots and pans?

If you dont cook a lot I would recommend a set of non stick pots and pans. They're great for people who dont spend a lot of time in the kitchen since food doesn't stick to them. I have some Rachel Ray pans that I love but I've heard great things about my sister's Calphalon set.

Re: pots and pans?

calpholan is the best. but if you are not planning on doing alot of cooking a simple non stick set will do.

Re: pots and pans?

all clad is supposed to be 'the best' but their handles hurt my hands so we went with calphalon instead -- which is much more affordable and has been amazing so far.

the non stick is truly non-stick (i can make omelettes without any butter or cooking spray and it doesnt stick at all!) and they are so much better quality than our scratched and warped cuisinart set. i highly recommend them

after watching everyone on the food network cook with stainless, and reading that non-stick eventually flakes and needs to be replaced regularly we decided to go with stainless (knowing that we can always bring them back to BBB if we absolutely cant learn to cook on them) but we have some non-stick pieces as well.

i'd recommend going into the store at least once, because you need to make sure you like the feel of the handles and all of that other jazz

Re: pots and pans?

We went with all clad - stainless steel and we picked up a few non stick pieces. All clad and calphalon are the best you can get.
