NWR: gas prices about to jump?
DH just called me and told me to go fill up my car because gas prices are expected to jump to $6++ a gallon due to the hurricane in TX. I didn't notice what they were on my drive home today, but he said if they're already high just to wait it out.Anyone hear this or notice anything different today?

The price per barrel traded for a low rate today and the experts say we can expect this trend to continue, in turn prices will then go down.

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
Fill up? what's that
I put a certain amount of money in at a time and if that stops at 3/4 tank...which most times it does. oh well

I stop letting gas prices bother me because either way I get in the car and drive

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
LOL I just clicked on one of the related topics about gas prices from 2005. They were complaining that the prices were about to go over $3... I'd kill to pay $3/gallon now!!

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
Only one gas station that I passed today went up 15 cents. Every place else was the same as before. It's a category 2 hurricane now about to hit any hour now.

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
oh no this is insane
when I went to bermuda 2 years ago, we were told that gas is $6 a gallon and i just remember thinking how crazy that was and couldn't even imagine paying that. Now it seems it may be a reality here.

Went past a local gas station this morning it was at $3.69, on the drive home at 5:30 it was $3.79, and when DH got home at 8 he said it was $3.89 and the lines were LONG.I wish I would have stopped to get gas on the way home but I was stuck in traffic for so long and I had to pee

That is SO WRONG, its impossible for prices to go up that much in the same day, i doubt they got 3 separate deliveries
These newspeople report gas prices are going up and the stations take advantage
I filed up last nite because i heard and gas was still 3.65 a gallon for regular

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
Gas went from 3.61 to 3.69 to 3.79 in the last 24 hours be me, that was at 7am. I heard it was going to jump .50/gal by mon. Depending on the damage, it will come down in a week with minimal damage or go much higher with significant damage.

Re: NWR: gas prices about to jump?
I live in North Carolina and on my way home from work and there were lines into the streets from the gas station (and this was a big station with about 10 pumps!).I had no idea what was going on, but gas prices had gone up--they were $3.60 earlier in the week and $3.99 on Friday. When I got home, my neighbor told me they were expected to go up even more and to fill up.
The next town over, prices were up to $4.79! Some people were in the middle of filling up and the price went up. It's crazy.
It mostly has seemed to stay at $3.99 in most places in my town, though. FH and I filled up, just in case.
