Floral Terrace Review

I went to a wedding this past weekend at Floral Terrace and wanted to tell you - that we had such a great time. The viennese (sp?) hour was great! A few things I did notice was the amount of food on the entree plate - the plate looked empty it had 1 scoop of mashed potatos and the filet mignon and then like 5 string beans... I know you probably think I'm weird for even noticing, but IMO it looked bare.
The c*cktail hr. was really good. The food was great, however it was really, really dark in there and the music (which was being piped through the vents) kept going on and off. Which annoyed a lot of guests.
Oh, and the service was great! The bartender remembered everyone's drinks that they were having so that when you went up there - he would just hand it to you... I definitely thought that was cool and the rest of the staff was super nice.

Did they not offer 2nd and 3rd's of the entrees?

I thought they were known for that.

Thanks for the review our reception will be there in May 2004. I will make sure to ask them about the cocktail hour music and the plates looking empty.
They told us that they would come around with 2nd and 3rd servings for all the guests. Did they do that at the wedding you were at?

Just wanted to add to this review on the Floral Terrance, because I had attended a wedding there this past Dec 2002. The cocktail hr 'yes' was great, I honestly don't recall there being music. I agree that the bartenders were great. The cocktail room was a little dark, but there were these cute little candle lite lamps on each of the tables which set the mood. Then from the cocktail hour, we were brought upstairs to the reception. I thought it was cool how the dance floor was set up. It was center and elevated like a stage I agree with the food for dinner being 'not' so much. Also, the 'filet mignon' was NOT 'filet mignon', but rather a 'Prime Rib'. Our whole table ordered it and was very very disappointed. Yes, we did notice that they came around serving 2nds, but you had to flag the servers down for it. It wasn't like they came directly to the table and asked... Over all though, it was a great time.

Hey - sry for replying so late. They did come around asking if we wanted 2nds.

Also, I'm sry - if I worried anyone who's having their wedding there (I know some people have take offense to certain postings in the past) - believe me that's not my intentions... I just thought that you might like to know so you could inquire about it beforehand.

Overall, I had an awesome time at the wedding - it was actually one of the better ones that I had been to - minus the few things I brought up earlier.
