Invitation Wording when we are paying for the wedding??

My parents are helping out with very little and my FH and I are paying for everything ourselves. Can you please help me with invitation wording or websites that has wording where the couple pays for the wedding themselves?? Thank youuuu!

You can just put your names on it. you don't have to list the parents anywhere. it can say

Brides Name
&
Grooms Name

Request your presence at their wedding

Something like that

you can do

Bride and Groom, together with their families...

or Bride, daughter of X, and Groom, son of Y...

or leave off the parents altogether

__ daughter of ____ and ____ son of _____ invite you..yada yada. this way it doesn't say who is paying but you can still add the names of parents.

Our parents did not contribute financially to our wedding, but they, as well as our brothers and sisters, provided us with much support throughout our planning, and throughout our lives. This is why we chose to use 'Together with their families' in our wording.

we paid for our own wedding also. I would just look thru the book with the suggestions...or online with suggestions.

we paid for our own wedding for the most part, but i still did it the traditional way... Mr. and Mrs. Smith request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter.... blah blah blah.

I am a traditionalist and just like it that way as well as not caring who paid for what. i knew how much my parents would have liked to have paid for my wedding and i know how much the traditional wording meant to them, particularly my father.

i think you can do it any way you want regardless of who is paying.

I felt this way they were still included but our names are first and the phrasing insinuates our invite ... They are helping some which some is great and this is my parents first child's wedding and we thought it would be disrespectful to leave them off

i definitely would no matter what. They are still your parents and they have done enough for us in our lives that they should still be honored even if they didnt do this one thing. Just my opinion but i felt like my parents brought me into this world, raised me, supported me for a very long time so they would go on the invite no matter. I didnt care who paid for what, at the end of the day, they are still our parents and did so much for us and were there for us throughout everything

Infact we put our parents names and then ours even though we paid for most of it. I did it this way

we are paying for the wedding ourselves, but we did want to show our parents respect so we are saying

bride & Groom along wih their parents...

Same here. FH and I are paying for our wedding, but I felt it would be wrong not to include our parents. Here’s how we did it:
My name
and
His name
Together with their parents
My parents names
and
His parents names
Request the honor of your presence
…
This way no one feels left out or insulted.

Our parents did not pay for our wedding but we included them on our invitations as a courtesy.

We paid for the wedding ourselves but still included our parents on the invitation. We put

Mr and Mrs Anthony
and
Mr and Mrs Randy
