Wish me Luck .. Update

So a couple of days ago someone started a thread about the smoking commercials. I just want to thank whoever started that thread bc as of this morning I got on the patches.
I know it has only been four hours but I am really excited and hopefully this time around I can quit for good.
Please wish me luck and/or offer me any pointers so my decision can be final.

Update:
So I made it through day one. It was hard, I mean really hard I had lunch with a client yesterday and the client was offering me a cigarette and wouldnt take no for an answer. I was so proud of myself for saying no. Then I got home and I was a little restless so I cooked dinner, baked two cakes (which I didnt eat) and went to bed really early. Today in comparison is going alot better.

Today I plan on going for a nice run after work.

i know its hard--but you can do it. just think of all the years you are adding to your life by putting down the cigarettes. heck--think of the vacation you can pay for by the end of the year when you aren't paying for cigarettes.

another incentive for you...the money you would spend weekly for cigarettes--put it in a jar or some place safe--and just let it accumulate....see how much you are saving!

Yes I plan on doing this. Especially with how high the prices are now I can easily save about $50 a week.

Thanks! I was thinking about the future and how I have only been doing it a couple of years and just want to prevent anything from developing in the future. That and DH hates it and he always tells me how selfish I am being not only to myself but to him and our future kids.

Good luck...was never a smoker so have no quitting advice except I love not being around smokers...haha. Stay strong & take it one day at a time!

Good Luck.. the only way I can quit is by cold turkey.. I am allergic to the patches and I won't go on any of those pills..

Good luck!!! DH wants to quit (or so he keeps saying) but it hasn't happened yet.
