Refurbished iPods?
My FH wants one and his birthday is the last day of our HM. (BAD timing, I will have NO money.  ) So I was thinking of having one for him when we got home. Anyone know anything about refurbished ones? Are they just as good??? He needs one with a lot of storage since he wants to put ALLLLL of his Phish cds on it (which is a ton of music).

I don't know about Ipods but I personally stay away from refurbished anything. To me it is worth spending the extra money on something that no one else has touched.

me and dh both have refurb ones we bought from apple, we have had them now for about 2 yrs and havent had any problems, sometimes for $10.00 they will offer you a warranty

I found a 80BG classic for 169 with a 1 year warranty from apple.com. I think I may buy that - that's a great price!

2010 bride here:
FH & I bought my sister a refurb one for her graduation in 2005. she has since gotten a new one but i still use it & have no problems with it. FH also purchased his own refurb one at the same time & he still uses it on occastion. we purchased them at best buy.

that is a great buy, i am not sure the exact size of ours but i know its small and i think we paid less then $100.00. Hope FH enjoys his gift

Jen save yourself some $$ & get the refurb one. If anything happens apple will fix or replace it, and you can always purchase an extended warranty after the 1st yr if u want.
