Praying for more No's

OK...soooo I'm starting to pray for more people to say no to coming to the wedding. I know odd...but we're almost at the 175 min. without vendors .

I totally got yes responses from a lot of people I thought I would get No responses from.

MY RSVP date is today and I'm still missing RSVP's from 41 invitations (that's 82 people potentially). Some are OOT and I know they're not coming....but still...I'm totally freaking out and praying for more no's at this point

OK just needed to get that out...Please pray for more No's with me.

most likely the people that take this long to respond say no ...some people forget but most just dont feel the need to repsond if they are not going for some reason

almost every rsvp we got at the end was a no....we ended up with 152

haha, i was like that too. I REALLY did not wanna go over my minimum so I began hoping & praying for more No's by the end (too many people were saying yes). BUT THEN it went overboard. A couple more people who I thought were def coming found out they had prior obligations that day, and then others decided not to bring their guests, so i was suddenly UNDER minimum (not counting vendors). Talk about a backfire. So I invited a couple extra people and now i'm perfect. lol. You'll probably be like me and get a bunch of No's within these next 2 weeks. I didn't get all those no's until a week after the RSVP deadline.

very true. most of my people that didnt rsvp didnt come.

I am in the same boat. My rsvp date it coming up and we hardly received any nos. People I was sure wouldn't come are. We were aiming for 130 and sent out 190 invites, we are still missing 30 replies. I am happy that people are coming to our wedding, its just the extra costs are making me stay up at night. Hopefully you will get more nos too.

If it weren't for the cost I'd sa the more the merrier. Cost wise though it makes me stay up at night also and that's why I'm praying for more No's!

usually the later rsvps that come in tend to be 'no's' As long as you meet your minimum and dont go over your max, you will be fine!

We got only one RSVP over the phone. My father's cousin said yes, apparently he never recieved his invitation but wants to come. My dad had called him about something else and ended up asking if he was going to send his RSVP which is how we found out he never got his invitation to begin with. I know my mom had two friend of hers that didn't get their invitations either. I wonder how many of the 41 invitations that I still haven't gotten RSVP's on were just never recieved

No other RSVP's were recieved, at least via the mail.

That's weird. I had 2 family members not get their invitations either. One cousin (who I'm very close with and would OBVIOUSLY invite) called and asked me about it after her other family members got theirs. Glad she did, cause otherwise I never woulda known! Ends up I had her old address. That happened with another cousin too. But the thing is - the invitations were eventually returned to me since it was just a wrong address.

If I were you, i wouldn't worry too much about people not getting it, because it should be coming back to you if so. But maybe you'll wanna e-mail (or call) a few people just to be sure. I'd probably tell them that a few people didn't get their invitations and you want to be sure they got theirs. I dunno.... just to be on the safe side, i guess

I agonized over this and somehow it all works out. I ended up with the exact number I wanted. Don't stress!
