For girls who have picked up their proofs...

Did you give the final balance when picking them up? Am I the only one that does not want to give the payment until the proofs are in all 3 albums and the video is done???

Opinions please!!!

I paid my final balance 2 days before my wedding. Maybe I should have held some money back. That was stupid of me.

I am still in the process of dealing with this with my photographer

it is NO WHERE written in my contract that payment of the balance, which is 500 is due when i pick them up ; being PRIOR to having my album

I have spoken to them several times and told them that i never in a million years would have signed a contract where i owe no balance and do not have my final product

I paid the balance for my proofs when I picked them up; same thing for video. When I did my album design, I paid upfront for whatever pictures that were beyond what I contracted for.

The reason for that is because by the time the albums are ready for pick up, some couples split up and get divorced and therefore do not want the albums so of course they are not going to pay the balance. Then the studio is at a loss for all those albums.

okay so it's not just me! How long do albums usually take? I know the video has to be edited and that takes months but I didn't know the Albums would take that long!
