I'm going to be honest, I think those models, even most models are just way too skinny. I don't think many of them are pretty at all. I'm not trying to insult the skinny girls on here, but I think women look better with curves and even a little belly or thigh. We had a friend of a friend in our medieval group, who brought his girl friend over. This girl was in modeling. She was only 90 pounds. She has several eating disorders. She never got enough calism (spl) in her diet that she still had most of her baby teeth. She brags about it. Needless to say, DH and I just get grossed out when looking at some of those models. I know there are some girls who are just naturally very slim. And hey thats great. But those who take it way too far, when you see them up close, look really bad without their make up or the air brushing. Honestly ladies, if you want to improve your health, diet and exercise is the way to go. But I've seen most of your pictures and honestly, I haven't seen an ugly person on here. Thats just me and my two cents.

okay...SO...take it from someone in the business: being naturally thin is COMPLETELY different then the majority of models/actors/etc.(i say this because yes, there are some who are..but for the most part - it is forced.) YES many of the women are beautiful & for the most part are inshape....HOWEVER, i think there are many MANY women walking around on a daily basis(many on this site actually!) who are just as beautiful(if not more beautiful!) ...if u take away the pushup bra's, the tape, slimming shine, the airbrushing, the makeup that took hours to do, the wigs/hair extensions that most of just think is naturally gorgous hair, eating nothing but rabbit food etc...take away all those artificial things & strip them down to just 'them'..and they're like everyone else. I know it's a hard thing to wrap ur mind around - but IT IS TRUE. i live it! Again, YES these are beautiful women - but i just feel there are many beautiful people in the world...A lot of us hold these women on a pedestal & in reality many of them are just like us. I remember seeing an interview with a v.s. model on late night - and she was like 'i dont think people get it. we get paid to be sexy...but EVERY woman is sexy. we were just lucky enough to find someone to pay us & make us prettier.' I saw another interview with Kate Hudson when she won the most beautiful person of the year...Conan pulled out her magazing cover & she started laughing & rolling her eyes and was like 'I just laugh because thats not real! i hope all young women know then when i wake up in the morning & i'm making pancakes for my family that i DON'T look like that!' another interview with Jessica Simpson's personal trainer...he said how most celebrities spend an average of FIVE HOURS a day & at least 6 days a week in the gym when they're not shooting. FIVE HOURS!! to me life is too short for that... could u imagine?? think of all the life u're missing out on just to 'look hot'..i dont know. I guess because i had MULTIPLE self esteem issues growing up, and now for the first time in my life I'm confident in myself, i just have a different outlook on it. I take care of myself & for the first time in a long time i have confidence & my husband think it's the sexiest thing in the world

I don't watch fashion shows because it perpetuates the image that gives me body issues I have struggled with my whole life. In my early 20's my body issues got the best of me and I did whatever it took to be thin, and let me tell you I was very thin but had a really bad eating disorder and these images are what I used to inspire me not to eat . I think society puts enough pressure on women to have unrealistic expectations of themselves and this is why SO many women have an eating disorder OR what I call distorted eating, body issues ect .

VS isn't as bad as other shows, at least the girls have some meat on their bones but for the average woman they are still too thin.

My perspective of models has changed now that I am older and I'd rather be healthy : they are too thin , and it wasn't always like that .
The models in the 80's and early 90's were a street size 4-6, and now they are a 0 . This would be fine if they were 5'2 but these women are 5'10 and 100 pounds.... Im sorry but that is anorexic . No one is that naturally thin being that tall .

thats what i mean. ur friend is very lucky..but even her hair - there's always something u know? ...what i'm saying is they are NOT superior beings who are more perfect & beautiful then everyone else. there's always something that goes into it.

dh & i also have a friend that's a HOT bikini model. HOWEVER, she has huge fake boobs, has to get waxed/tanned every single day, has a daily full time hair/makeup artist, 4hours of personal training every single day, lives on protein shakes/veggies.

And you know what? She's lonely..and always heartbroken because her relationships never last, is always on the go, etc...because her life is her looks & her career & that's it. Honestly, how long do you think all that will last? sad to say it, but i'm sure in a few more years she will no longer be in that business. All that - and for what? for people to think ur ultra hot?? i dont know..i guess because i was stuck in that rut for so long I see things in a completely different light now. I'm happy, healthy, and confident...and i have a husband who thinks i'm the most beautiful girl in the world and when i want to look extra sexy, i can throw on a massive pushup bra, oil, and get some B-pics taken

I didnt see it, i also dont get jealous of real thin girls. Well tyra is one that has curves and Heidi klum does have a sick body and worst part is that even in person when i saw her without any make up, she was just as gorgeous, that woman is ridiculous and even naturally she can appear in magazines.

However, did anyone see the girls next door 55th year edition. They had a bunch of girls test that holly found and they had to pick 3 playmates. There were 3 girls on there that were insanely gorgeous and had sick bodies. I was sitting there like ahhhh i need to hit the gym lol. They had the hour glass curvy figures and even their faces were gorgeous. There was this russian girl named Dasha whose face was beautiful and her body too was amazing. Then another girl jessica, that did have the best body, now I'd rather look like that then runway models

I love that show!! I think they should pick the girl whose mother was a playmate. Dasha is gorgeous!!! They have nice bodies but they had on tons of makeup and on the short girl that didn't make it to the final 3 you could see the body makeup on her where they were trying to paint on abs

Denise I saw that episode and I was thinking the same thing...beautiful and curvy they shouldn't have to be stick skinny. it is kinda gross in my opinion

but i try not to let myself get carried away by the magazines and the runway shows etc etc. All though I LOVE VS I think some of their models are ridiculously skinny. I feel confident in myself and that FH/DH loves me for who I am and like jgarisk said he definitely is attracted to me being confident and thinks it sexy. I do sometimes feel like ah man I should go to the gym so I can at least try to look better. And I do go to the gym but I am not going to drive myself crazy to look like someone and something I am not.

I know, there are some women who are pretty and then some others that when you see them i think everybody stops to look at them and dasha is one of them. Even women look at her bc its like OMG she is so gorgeous, and yeah not sure if they are real or not.

who jessica? the one with the yellow dress? i thought she had the best body, painted or not lol. DId you see her a**? lol i want to put a dress on like that and look like her i think she had the most muscles on her abs. They usually do airbrush models bodies to give it more of a tanned toned look but you can tell she had pretty sick abs on her own. I would take her body even before they painted it lol. Her face was very pretty too

i would've picked, Dasha, the one whose mother was also a playmate years ago and Jessica. I didnt like the 3rd one they did pick, the tv host one. I also dont think the twins arent that pretty, but its the whole twin appeal

yeah i dont let it bother me either. Alot of them I dont find that great looking bc they are too thin and i like curves. And then if a girl is truly gorgeous and has a sick body, i just say wow she is gorgeous. But dont think we as women have to look at them and think 'ahhh i hate her i want to look like that' I mean hey good for them, and some of these women bust their a** in the gym for many hours a day, hey its only fair that somebody who does that would have an amazing body over lets say me who hasnt been working out lol, it wouldnt be fair if it was the other way around lol.
