I will be needing a new car...what should I get?

I want a 4 wheel drive so we can drive onto the beach, does anyone have any recommendations?TIA

I have a Honda Element. Some think it's a bit ugly but it comes in fun colors and it's GREAT to drive.

I just got the BMW x3 which is all wheel drive but I can't say I've driven it on a beach yet, or the snow.

Not sure if they are 4-wheel drive vehicles, but I like the Honda CRV, the Infiniti truck and the Acura MDX. The Jeep Compass is cute too. I want something small, but that has good pep to it. I need a huge trunk so that I can shop at BJ's and not have to worry about fitting things in! lol

Friends of ours had an element for a while - it was friggin awesome and as far as I know they are not crazy expensive.

I have a suzuki xl-7 and I loooooove it. Drives really nice. I bought it used - 4 years old - and the only problems I've had with it have been a minor oil leak (can happen in ANY car though) and a check engine light, on now, I think it's something simple like an O2 sensor, because it's not making the car drive bad it's been on for a month, how bad could it be? Just a nice car.

I have an Acura TSX and I love it...DH is looking for a car..he likes the Escalade but it's so big and gas would be crazy

we have the jeep wrangler XLT - the 4 door model - and LOVE it. the top comes off in the summer; it's the best.

we had the same problem, but dh got his manager to order me one and we had to wait 2 weeks for it, but i liked the silver too, i had a hard time deciding

Me too...I love it. My parents just got one too and got an AWESOME deal on it...Chrysler is really trying to get the 08's off of the lots, so you never know what you can get...

I used to have the Jeep Cherokee, while I loved it as far as size and all that, the car ended up giving me ALOT of problems. In the end i just got rid of it bc I couldnt take it anymore. At first it was great but then after a few short years the problems wouldn't stop. THe last summer I had it, i probably fixed it at least 5-6x until i said i cant keep putting money into it. ALOT of other people I know had the same problems too with theirs after a short period of time, infact just about everybody i know who had theres for a few years said it gave them lots of problems.

I hope the Jeep Liberty is made better, if so that would be good. Alot of problems I had were bc of how it was made. The thing the belt was on was put on a bit crooked, there was a time i changed my belt every month and meanwhile a belt only gets changed around every 10,000 miles so shouldn't happen. And that was just one problem.

The Acura MDX is great, but just know that with Acura the parts are alot harder to get. WHen something goes wrong, you usually have to wait a while to get one of the parts and the parts on an Acura are more expensive than most others.
