Swan Club Brides - Cocktail Hour Music?

Hello Ladies,

I was wondering if any past Swan Club brides would recommend having a string quartet during cocktail hour? Our DJ will be providing a CD during our cocktail hour. I am still debating if we should have a string quartet instead. Please advise.

Thanks!

Re: Swan Club Brides - Cocktail Hour Music?

I was told by quite a few people (Swan Club employees, DJ and past brides) that it is a waste to have it during cocktail hour b/c every thing is so noisy and people are chatting.
I just had my DJ supply the music and everyone said it was great.

I totally agree! And when we saw our video of the CH and how packed it was in there and everything, I was glad we just had the DJ music. I am sure it was super loud and cramped in there as it was! HTH!

Re: Swan Club Brides - Cocktail Hour Music?

We had a keyboard player at our outdoor CH at Swan Club. I honestly didn't notice it and afterwards said I would have been fine with the DJ instead... but everyone else disagreed with me and said it was so nice to have live music. So, people notice (even if the bride doesn't).

Then again, a keyboard player is probably much less expensive than a string quartet.
