HELP! Need favor wrapping opinions! (pic)

I'm having a favor crisis. We're having a medieval theme wedding. Our favors are Knight and Maiden candles. They're about 7 to 7.5 inches high, so they're pretty big. All the boxes I have found are too small, or too big, plus, I don't want big boxes on the tables. I thought I could wrap them in tulle, and bought a 40 yard bolt of white tulle. I just tried to wrap them in the tulle and they look like crap!

So now I'm stuck. I was thinking of just getting personalized ribbon to tie around the bases. Would that look too half-a$$ed??

Here's a pic of the Knight candle. He's much nicer in person... I'll try to find the maiden pic, but you get the general idea...

I was also thinking of just leaving them as they are, and maybe tying a little note to them with ribbon, a poem or a special Thank You. I can make the note look like old parchment paper.

What do you all think? Any ideas??

Michaels had favor bag that were in a sheer fabric. Maybe they will have them in that size. I am horrible with sizes in my head so I don't know if they will fit but it is worth a try

COD Wholesale has those organza bags in a few different sizes, but it looks as though they have a size (4-3/4'x6-1/2') that will be a tad bit too small, and the next size (6'x9') might be a bit too big. I like the idea of the bags though, and you can add a little tag to the drawstring. Maybe you could order a couple, just to see how it looks?

I think you should wrap them in clear cellophane with a nice ribbon tied at the top. That way you could see through the cellophane and it looks like a gift, but still elegant!

By the way, I love the candles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i second the celofane,
but i dont know if clear or a color in your theme would look better.
I wouldnt recomend just tying the ribbon on the base

I think those favors look too nice to be wrapped! What kind of centerpieces are you having? you could probably incorporate those favors with your centerpiece and just put on a short thank you note...maybe you can use those name label stickers with your names and wedding date printed on it

Maybe they have an iridescent one???

I have to decide on something fast, since the wedding is only 50 days away!

Okay, I can relax again.

I just ordered cello-wrap from Papermart. I think this will do the trick, because I did a 'sample' favor using saran wrap and it looked much better than the tulle.

I got the iridescent cellophane, and will tie it with a purple organza ribbon (purple is my wedding color).

Whew!

Hopefully it will all work out now.
