My engagement party review ((with pictures!!!))

This past Sunday June 7, 2009 was our engagement party, and it was AMAZING!!!!!! We have the Best family and Friends. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. Anthony and I got a bunch of gifts off of our registry and we could not have been happier with our party

Here is my mini review

Weather – A++++
It was a beautiful day 80 and sunny!!!!

DYI – A++++
The invitations, menus, favor tags, decorations, bridal party buttons, centerpieces and fact cards - I designed them and they came out just how I wanted them to, I loved, loved, loved them all!

The dress – A++++
Looking for a dress for our engagement party was a pain in the butt, I had a hard time finding a dress that I loved but on Friday at 9 at night (yes less then 48 hours before the party) I went to Lord & Taylor with my FH and found the perfect BCBG dress, and a super cute pair of Nina shoes that went with the dress perfectly.

Makeup/Hair – A++++
I scheduled a trial for my party with Khouloud's Beauty – Kacey did my hair and Zoraida did my make up. They did an awesome job!!!! Everyone loved my hair & makeup!!! I was a little nervous about having airbrushed makeup, I was afraid that it would look caked on, but it came out BEAUTIFUL!!! I am planning on booking them for my wedding (I will post trial pics when I get them)

Restaurant – Union Station, Smithtown – A++++
I could not have asked for more, the service and food were amazing, had passed appetizers and buffet style food including: Crispy Calamari with Mandarin Orange Glaze, Chicken Francese, Penne Ala Vodka, Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak, Vegetable Medley and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. EVERYTHING was so yummie! I am happy that they packed some up for us to take home because we were busy talking to our friends and family and we got to enjoy it late night.

DJ - Barattini Productions – Kevin Barattini & Pat Davis – A++++
Kevin kept the party going, if I was not having a band for the wedding I would 150% book Barattini Productions with DJ Kevin and bongo drummer Pat Davis – everyone at the patry was raving about the DJ and bongo drummer – they are the best and I would not use anyone else!!!

I bought the wine glasses at the Christmas Tree Shop, but I made the tags and place the bows with the flowers - I also made the tissue paper flowers in the CPs and the hanging pompoms!

I'm glad it went so well! you looked beautiful, I love the pink and green theme(i might be doing that for the wedding... i change my mind everyday) and the glasses are such a nice idea!
