Stewart Manor C.C. Brides...about the wedding cake

What are you doing about the cake? Are you using their baker, bringing in pics? I don't know how this works.

Does anyone know how creative their baker is or about upgrades or anything. I really want a beautiful cake and I don't know what to expect from them.

We went with the cake from smcc...no upgrades...was very plain but we already spent enough money and were happy with it. It was delicious too by the way!

Yes we did! It was awesome and so much US...everyone loved it too which in a way made no one really care what the cake looked like!

I am going to Giacomo's tonight too!!! I have to pick out my cake for the SMCC!

I don't know what to expect, I just hear that the 'philo' (?) inside is the best.

I know James told me that they don't do fondant icing. Which I wanted.

Let me know how it goes for you -- and what the price includes and what's extra.

What's your wedding date at the SMCC??

Hi, I met with Giacomos and they seem to be pretty knowledgable.

The cost of the cake wasnt too bad.

Just a suggestions if you are going to have the mini pastries, get them directly from Giacomos its less expensive than getting them from SMCC

Well the cake is costing me $250 and if you get the pastries from Giacomos they charge you per table and not head like SMCC

Oh, that's not bad. Do you think it is worth it to get the pastries??? No one mentioned that to me. I know that SMCC gives you ice cream.. you are getting pastries too? Or did you cancel the ice cream?
Was Jimmy at Giacomo's nice?

Jimmy is really nice and the only reason we got the pastries is because I dont like the cookies SMCC offers.

I just posted on the other SMCC post. I was told by James to talk directly to Jim @ Giacomo's. He said that he will have no problem making changes. He told me to make sure I call & make an appoitment w/ Jim. Their phone # 631-956-1483

I went to Giacomo's on Friday and Jim was really wonderful. I am upgrading my cake and doing the pastries thru them. I feel really comfortable that they will do a great job. Actually this was the most fun I've had a vendor!
