Wedding Planner or DOC help?!!

Hello Ladies:

I'm hoping that I can get some tips/advice here. I tried my luck on another forum, which shall remain nameless, and got NO responses.

It was pretty surprising and frustrating!

Anyhow, I'm crossing my fingers that I can get some help here.

In short, I've been engaged for some time now and finally have set a date. It was hard juggling things with the new house and job and I finally figured out that I can't do this alone. At least not the tedious parts of it.

I was wondering if you ladies would be able to pass on any experience that you've had with planners or DOC, what do they usually charge, and could you recommend anyone.

I'm looking to have an outdoor wedding, June 5th, 2011 with 100-150 guests.

It seems far away, but I'm ready to get started now.

Thanks in advance!

-Soon to be Mrs. Johnson = )

Re: Wedding Planner or DOC help?!!

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa from Elite Affairs. She is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make my sister's day so special. She is very helpful in the planning stage. I live out of town and also hired her because I am getting married in LI and I don't know what I would do without her. She has helped me so much. The list could go on and on. She is like superwoman on the day...only God know how she gets all those things done. She is such a sweet person. She doesn't know this but she is going to be our personal planner should we or our family members have other events in the future. SHE IS AWESOME. If you have any questions, feel free to FM me and I will go into more detail about the actual day. She is a vendor on here.

Welcome to LIW and Congrats!

Re: Wedding Planner or DOC help?!!

I fully recommend Chrissi from Fairy Tale Events!!!! She is an ABSOLUTE sweetheart, she's done the weddings of a bunch of '09 girls and she is considerably more well priced than most of the other coordinators out there!!! You can find her website here or you can email her at [email protected]

HTH!!!!

Re: Wedding Planner or DOC help?!!

I am using Erganic Design as a Wedding Planner and DOC.

I have a million ideas on how I want to decorate my RH for the ceremony and reception. They are helping me tie my ideas together and contract vendors within my budget. On the day of the wedding, they will be there managing the event (dealing with the vendors, helping set-up, sticking to our time line, etc.) -- and I will have a DOC.

Before I booked with them, I checked their references. The brides I spoke with raved about the company and their experience working with them.

FM me if you want more information....

Re: Wedding Planner or DOC help?!!

If I don't get to those individually who suggested sending an FM, please feel free to send me one.

From what I've heard thus far, Gina from Bleu Diamonds seems to be very popular.
