Photographers

I need your help! I have not been to many weddings because I'm the 2nd person engaged out of my single friends so I have not been able to get many reviews on wedding photographers. I am not having a videographer so pictures are really important to me. I want to have the candid photos as well as some artistic ones. I have been hearing some horror stories from people at work and I have no clue where to look first! I just don't want to be disappointed after the wedding and we are willing to pay as much asked. I also don't want to have to ask the photographer to make sure to take certain pictures (that's his job, you should not have to worry about it). Please give me some good ideas and more reviews! Thanks!!

We also chose not to have a videographer. Our photographer was Paul Marino. There are a few teaser pics that he took in my album. We are beyond thrilled with our proofs. He captured our memories and the emotion of the day beautifully. I'm just having trouble narrowing down which ones to include in the album!

I used Patken photographers. They have three studios in NY. I would request Jessie if you are going to use them. My wedding photos are in my album along with my "day after" pictures. They are anywhere between 3-6k for just photo's depending on style of album, # of pics etc.

They are amazing photographers and really love what they do. They're a husband and wife team based in Patchogue. I don't think a day has gone by I haven't been on their website looking at photo's.
I liked that they do a mix of candid and posed shots, but the posed shots are not the least bit stuffy, its more like they gather the people they want in the shot and just snap away, not "ok put your hand here, turn your head this way, etc". And thier candid shots are incredible. They look like magazine shots.
On top of being great photographers, they are the nicest people. I really can't wait for the pictures. I wish I was getting E-Pics done so I could work with them more.

Oh and if you go to their website and go to recent weddings you can search for weddings at your venue, I like it cause I get decorating ideas :)

My girlfriend was married in September and they used Roberto Falck and were very happy with his work.

I am going to most likely be using patken. I have had a lot of people use them so I have gotten to see pictures from there.. they are amazing!

I have also seen nice pics from Duet and DeJaVu... I am going to price them as well to see what I get with each package at each place...

We're using Princess Pictures Photography. Natalie is awesome. I think she worked with Amanda Picone on another LIWers wedding. Her prices are great too.

were using duet! and theyre work is really good and theyre price is reasonable... if you want to splurge - i would def look at blue daisy... her work is absolutely amazing, though i wish i could have afforded her!! :)
