Cooking class as a bridal shower?

A good friend of mine is getting married in June, and is interested in a group of us taking a cooking class as her bridal shower. We're looking for someplace that can accomodate 15-20 people for 2-3 hours. Ideally, the site would have availability on a weekend afternoon in March.

Any suggestions??

Re: Cooking class as a bridal shower?

I had an event at a place called Cooking by the Book once. It's in the city. The first half is spent cooking a meal and the second half is spent eating and drinking. It's lots of fun but might be on the more expensive side.

also I think michaels does cooking classes as well...
I know there used to be a kiddie party place in like bohemia where they did tea parties and the girls would bake.. and I remember they had an option for adult parties, but I can't remember what the place is called... i'll keep my eye open for it.

ICE in NYC... I went to a cooking class there with work it was SO fun. You cook for the first hour and then have a meal the second hour, and they give you the recipes.

Cooking by the Book is also fun but I liked ICE better.
