I'm so happy right now (spinoff to are you broke ?)

I just was talking to FH about how I hate being broke and that I can't wait to be able to spend money again and he looked at me very strangely and said 'umm....hun - what are you talking about?'

Me: we have just enough in our wedding account to pay for the wedding and the HM and that's it. I hate this feeling. Why did we have to spend so much?

Him: are you forgetting the house account?

Me: No - we used that $$ when we closed on the house, didn't we?

Him: Some of it yes - but we still have over $15,000 in it - remember?

I almost died!!! I cannot believe I forgot that money was in there! I'm so totally consumed with this wedding that I lost over $15,000!

Of course, to save face, I told FH that we have to close the wedding account or the house account because it's too many bank accounts! Mine, his, the house account, the wedding account - I'm completely confused!

But so freakin happy right now! I'm not broke! yay!

Now I want to go out and buy something

I'm buying clothes for the HM!!!

I was thinking no Christmas for us this year, but now it's totally changed!!! Oh yeah and some stuff I wanted for the house (boring).

FH still can't believe that I forgot about that money -He swears he told me a couple of times but for some reason I have no recollection of it! I just checked the bank online and yup - there it is - just waiting! YAY!

Woww.... what a great feeling that must be... lol When we gave our down payment money in for the house, I had a mini heart attack 'losing' all that $$..... Our house fund will be depleted come closing time... ugh... how lucky are you?!?!?!

Don't be jealous - if you were as old as FH and I are and neither one of you owned a home before AND you made it to this ripe old age and had never been married before, you'd be ready to slit your wrists if you didn't have a nest egg!

FH and I have been working longer than some of you have been alive (which is a very scary thought...... and just made me a little )
