The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

This is it, people.

I think I have started another thread on the 09 board like a year ago. Didn't really hold up. We reported for like a week and then it went to hell.

Starting tomorrow, let's report our daily workouts. Lets help to keep eachother motivated. We're going to need it with the upcoming holiday season!

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Sounds good to me! I definitely need to motivation!

Well for the last two days I've been getting back into my usual workout routine, so I've only done 7 minutes each on the treadmill, elliptical, and bike plus various weights and sit ups. And always stretches!

Today I'm sore, so I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, sit-ups and stretches.

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Heading to the gym now -- today's class is the Step Challenge. Yesterday I did Body Pump then ran 5 minutes on the treadmill. (I usually jog so that was big for me!)

Since I'm not working right now, I go to the gym 4 - 5 mornings a week. Not losing any weight yet but I'm getting there!

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Okay - yesterday I did nothing but take a walk but it was my b-day so I had things to eat! But the day before I did a HUGE workout. . 90 minutes of cardio (split in two segments) with some free weights balanced on a BOSU. . today I'm going to try to get to the gym before I have to RUN off to the airport where I will eat NONE of the following things: Cinnabon, Annie's Pretzels, TCBY, my problem isn't so much working out as I've been eating like CR*P. . usually I am pretty healthy and lately I've just fallen hard off the wagon. . . I might need the healthy eatin thread too. . okay now I've been inspired and am going to go hit the gym!!!

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Glad to see you guys reporting!

Sadly, no workout for me. My neck is SO stiff. I can't move my right arm and my neck in like any direction. I am hoping to workout tomorrow.

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

I need this thread after eating like a beast on my honeymoon! I'm going to get back into my workout routine on Monday since this weekend I'm going to NC and I know Sonic will be involved...

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

We have Sonic in NC? Hmm.... where are you going to be?

I just got back from the gym. Did the step challenge class (45 minutes awful hard cardio, 10 min abs + stretch) and the warmup for the pump class, plus some weights today.

I feel pretty good about it, but I wish I were seeing results. It's been frustrating -- I'm working out 4-5 days a week and not seeing the scale change at all. But I'll give it some more time. It's only been 6 weeks or so... I'll give it 12 and see if I'm at least getting stronger.

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Ok I'm reporting in for today! I almost didn't go because my shoulders have been really sore since my weights workout on Tuesday. But then I remembered you ladies (and how I want my legs to look good) so I went! Woohoo!

I did 30 minutes of cardio today, bike, elliptical, and treadmill, and stretches and sit-ups.

Tonight if the weather holds up I'm going to soccer, we do pick-up for 2 hours (mostly men with 6 girls).

I can't wait for the soreness to stop so I can go make them sore again.

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

I finally went last night...I did a Core Central class followed by an abs class right after......I am so sore today! UGH which is a reminder of how out of shape I have gotten since the wedding!! it feels great to be back into the swing of things though. I like routine!
Now I have to drag my butt there today despite the soreness. Not sure if i'll make it through another class with full body lifting, but I'm definitely going to do cardio.

Do you girls take a day off from lifting when you are super sore or do you just keep lifting?

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Well . . . this thread inspired me. I dragged my sorry self out of bed early this morning and did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine. (I did hit snooze once or twice, though, so 35 minutes was all I could spare).

Re: The Official Newlyweds Workout Thread!

Sitting out yet again, my neck isn't better. DH is sick and I won't sleep on the bed because I don't want to get sick, so I think sleeping on the couch isn't helping.
