I don't know if you remember, but a couple of weeks ago I posted about how a dress I love had been discontinued (my fav dress). I was really upset about it but decided that it probably just wasn't meant to be.

Well....I really couldn't get my mind off the dress and after talking to a few bridal shops it looks like the designer is willing to remake the gown for a fee!!

I am sooo happy because this has been my favorite dress!!! I thought it was going to be impossible to get...but it looks like it is a possibility!!!!

The one thing is that it has been pretty tough finding a sample of this gown in a bridal shop so that I can try it on. None of the LI/NYC/Northern NJ shops carry the sample. Some used to carry it, but have since sold their sample.

I thought it was going to be impossible to try it on until I contacted one bridal shop in CT. They didn't have the sample either, BUT they are part of some sort of network of bridal shops in the US and can borrow the sample from another store!!!! The consultant was able to track down the gown in the size/color I'm looking for in OHIO!!! The shop in Ohio shipped out the gown yesterday to the CT store and I have an appointment with the CT store next week to try it on!

I am sooooo excited that I'm finally going to be able to try the dress on! However, I'm also starting to lose my patience because I want to try it on NOWWWW!!!

How exciting! They probably shipped it out from the bridal district in Cincinnati--there are TONS of stores there, and one of them is the second largest store in the US (next to Kleinfelds, of course

I hope so too!!! I've tried on a ton of other Paloma Blanca gowns in similar shapes (a-line) and similar styles and they look great on!! So I have high hopes that I may love this dress on! I wish I was trying it on today...I really can't wait!

Yes! The bridal shop in Ohio is willing to sell the sample to me. I just need to see what kind of condition the dress is in...and I have to decide if I would be okay with buying a sample dress or if I want a new one.
