Disposable Wedding Cameras? (x-post)
My dad really wants us to get disposable cameras for the tables. Has anyone seen a deal on disposable wedding cameras?

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras? (x-post)
i posted about this before my wedding on B helping B's and I got a lot of good feedback...I'm not sure if you're set on getting them, but it seemed like a lot of people had good ideas why not to do it. I don't know if you can search out that thread. That being said, if your dad really wants them and you're into it, ebay has a lot of good deals on these.

My mom insisted on doing them also. Just be careful b/c I felt like it was a waste of money. None of the pictures came out when we had them developed. They were all so dark you couldn't see anything. The cameras had a flash, but I guess it was just too dark in the reception. FIL used one & swore he used the flash, and none of them came out. I have to ask my mom where she go them. They were the white wedding ones. Just let your dad know what happened to me. Most ppl come to weddings with their digital cameras now. You could set up a snapfish or shutterfly where ppl can go to upload their photos. That seems to work better.

Since everyone already has a digital camera or blackberry on them, no one really uses them and it's really expensive to get them developed. I would honestly just put out cards on the tables that say where people can upload their photos . DH counted and we have over 2000 photos between our guests and photographer. That's MORE than enough.

Crashing...But, i just went to a wedding last weekend where everyone was using the cameras on the table, but it was so dark, its unlikely that any of them will come out. Its probably b/c your dad is older that he wants it. You should tell him they are unlikely to come out.
If you do get them, I hear the Kodak/Fuji ones are better than the wedding ones. And be sure to have them put all the pics on a disk instead of developing them all, this way, you can develop the few that actually may come out.

We were going to have them, but listened to what people said about getting a Shutterfly account (it's free). We got over 200 pictures-- they were great! We just ordered the ones we liked-- I HIGHLY recommend it!Another bonus-- the Shutterfly account had so many extras. We put in directions to the RH, hotel info and lots of other free things.
