QOTD Happy Thanksgiving!!

So... now that your are...or are soon to be married what will change about your holidays?

For FH and I we have always split the holidays evenly...start at one house and then end at another..so I don't think much will change. It will prob only get more chaotic when we have kids... then everyone wants a chance to see them...so we may have to hit up more then two places...

We also have a very close group of friends who are more likely family so one day I forsee us hosting hilidays and inviting them and their kids as well... like a brand new even better extended family...we r gonna need a hugeee house...lol

Re: QOTD Happy Thanksgiving!!

Right now we keep separate holidays...a few times FH has come for dessert at my house only, or I've gone to dessert or a second dinner for Xmas Eve since my family starts earlier and is done earlier.

It's tough, because I have a very small family and he has a very large one. But his family does way more holidays than mine celebrates (NYE and Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween) plus bday parties for all his 4 little cousins...and my family does Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, and Easter only. FH doesn't like my mom's cooking, or lack thereof, so he doesn't want to do any holidays with my family, but I've put my foot down and said no way because we are with his family for 10 other occasions all year. I've said that I want Xmas Eve and Catholic Easter with my family, no negotiations...he wants Xmas Day with his Aunt and he gets Greek Easter. On the very few times that Greek and Catholic Easter fall on same day, Greek will take precedent because he's very religious and I'm not. We haven't discussed Thanksgiving yet...his Aunt does Thanksgiving every year too, and they throw a great party, but it doesn't seem fair to give my family 2 holidays and his 10.
