Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

do not leave that $50 or $100 deposit to HOLD THE DATE. Even when they say it is refundable, you will have a hard time getting it back!!!

I just wanted to right a separate post because I am so annoyed with them from reading glittergal's post. They did the same thing to me (we ended up getting it back when we went in b/c there were people there and we said we are not leaving without it).

They do not want to give it back to you! What a scam! They say you have to write a letter to the accounting dept or some kind of BULLSHIT!

Sorry to the girls who booked with them, I hope you don't get offended.

Re: Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

that is horrible! Both you and glittergal should contact either the problem solvers or Channel 2 shame on you
when they have reporters show up I bet they will be so scared and give you your money and then everyone will know what creeps they are!

Re: Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

I went there a few months back to check it out for a retirement party I was planning for work. The girl I met with kept me waiting for like 20 minutes and said sorry but Hilary Clinton was there for a luncheon and she had to take care of her.

Yeah riiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggghhhhhhhhhht - as if Hilary Clinton would step foot in that place.

Then she tried to tell me what a great deal she was giving me and it wasn't. Fox Hollow blew their deal out of the water and they were so much more professional and the food was awesome.

I say you girls expose them - or at least call the Better Business Bureau.

Keep us posted!

If you do a search here, there are a lot of negative posts about that place.

This place used to be a wedding factory in the early 1990's.
Not anymore

Re: Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

i put a $1000 deposit down and then decided not to go with them. like they told you, they said it would be fully and immediately refunded if i told them within 2 weeks that i don't want to hold my wedding there.

well, within 2 weeks i found another place and call them- i had to send numerous faxes, left several messages with the banquet manager, other managers- it was absurd. 5 months later we got the $1000 back- after calling them everyday and being hung up on by the banquet manager a few times. i should have known better when the banq manager was telling ME (an indian) how indian weddings work and that i am all wrong about my own culture and being slightly obnoxious in other ways on our 1st encounter there.

having said all that, i've heard of others having great events/weddings at the townhouse so if you are having yours there- i wouldn't worry much.

Re: Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

I just went to a function there last week! ugh! the food is third rate (wilted lettuce, mushy pasta, undercooked chicken, butter with refrigerator burn) and it is still a wedding factory. they had no less than four different major functions running simultaneously and you could hear the music from another party in the room we were in.

Re: Anyone looking at the Huntington Town House

We had the same problem there a year ago, we sent faxes upon faxes, calls upon calls, and when we were there they were more interested in how there cappucino was from there new machine. We finally got our $$$ back, but we were so ****ed. You can see online there are complaints against them.
