QUICK..stupid cooking question yet again

Another stupid cooking question here...making baked ziti and im gonna combine sauce, mozzarella and ricotta cheese obviously...but..do i have to cook the sauce first? Or will it just cook when its in the oven? And what temp should I cook it on..someone told me 350 for about 20 minutes?? Please help...the ziti is almost ready!

You do not have to cook the sauce first. I would bake at 350 for about 30 minutes...depends on your oven....when the cheese on top starts to bubble and slightly brown on the sides....I think its done.

I do cook the sauce first, since I make it myself and want all the spices and flavors to cook into the sauce.

If you're using sauce from a jar, you don't need to cook it first.
